So I was back on my Dictatious obsession behind the scenes(also why I haven't been posting as much) and some of yall may or may not know that I have a huge crush on Dictatious for a few years now and I have been going back and rewatching Trollhunters but in different languages. So far the Spanish version (Both LATAM and Spain) and French version are my absolute favs. (German is a 50/50 for me but oh gosh the Japanese dub hurts my soul...) I'm already in the Italian dub and I like Dictatious in that language.

A quick Fathers' day sketch because I nearly forgot to do it yesterday. Anyways, it's been like 2 years now since I've been doing this because I wanted to draw more Dad Blinky stuff.

Like seriously, he literally is my comfort character and often reminds me of my own dad sometimes. From the silly humor, to trying to be supportive(with some advices along the way).

I thought It seemed appropriate when facing the Collector Leviathan.

Made this last night and I was kinda sleepy so it is a bit low effort.

I wanted to look for some reference because I wanted to draw him again(my first attempt didn't look good when I drew him a while back).

From the description of his design in the book, it mentioned he was some sort of tentacle monster wearing a kilt with medals and junk. But when I was re-reading the original Trollhunters book there was a part that made me confused.

It describes Blinky having "mysterious legs" underneath his kilt and my first thought was his tentacles as legs since I've seen plenty of old and new fanart of Book Blinky with tentacles for legs. So shouldn't it mentioned something about it? Not "mysterious legs".

Then I went back to look at the unused book cover(that I dare say is peak 🔥) and umm...

WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOSE?!?!?!

Bro got some spider/crab legs what the what?!?!

So you're telling me. This entire time this mother ducker had spindlely spider legs and not tentacles??? I mean he does have tentacles but I am guessing it's just his arms.

This really had me shocked. Man I love this book and series because I always find new things and instantly fall in love again.

I tried to draw him again and well...Here is the comparison from my first drawing back in 2024(I never posted it here because I didn't like how it looked so here's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see it lol).

Bitter-Sweet Dictatious Animatic WIP + My Kodanth design

This was an unfinished animatic I made like many months ago with my favorite song(Ever since I discovered Bryan Ferry three years ago, I couldn't help but get Dictatious vibes from him in an odd way that I can't describe). I realized I put too much effort into it. I only planned to make a simple animatic that should've been 1 minute short at least but my brain went into overdrive and couldn't stop animating some frames. Because I wasted a lot of my energy into it at the time, and couldn't be able to finish it. I had to discontinue it.

Lets go for round 2!
