Can we discuss who is paying the bills?

I know that I thought, and the consensus seems to be, that Rio shot Lucy to teach Beth a lesson - but what if that’s wrong or off?

I realized that Lucy got into the van by herself, setting herself apart from the girls and despite Beth telling her not to do it.

What if Rio shooting her wasn’t so much about teaching Beth a lesson about his power/control in their relationship but again more about rotten eggs and loyalty? Because Lucy had just met Rio and his boys - all of them were clearly not friends/friendly/doing good things - but still Lucy immediately went onto their side, jumped into their van and seemed to be willing to trust them more than Beth and the girls who she knew much more and was closer with obviously than Rio or his boys.

Have we discussed how Mick has been MIA since Beth sent him to get the books back from DL Dave? 

Dean was still arrested, which is a fair sign that Mick wasn’t successful. Also, Rio supposedly believed Beth that Fitz was DL Dave - if Mick had gone to see Dave surely he would have reported back to Rio? I mean, he may not have actually shown Rio what Dave looked like, and Rio may not have shown Mick what he thought DL Dave looked like, but...

I just realized that if all of GG is supposed to have happened in a year, that means the Bolands have lost Buddy the Dog, three goldfish, and Au Jus in under a year. (Am I forgetting any other poor animals?)

1. Beth shot Rio because ??? She was scared because he kidnapped/had her kidnapped and (reasons) 2. Had Rio shoot Fitz because she needed him gone; because she needs Rio alive in order to turn Rio in (after he very generously DIDN’T kill her for shooting him) to the Secret Service. Even though Fitz really was only doing the job SHE HIRED HIM TO DO.

But then still has the audacity to play this “I’m a mother, I’m a good person.” Does she not consider Rio and Fitz parents, or does she just think that she is the only criminal that loves her children and whose children love her and deserve to have their parent alive?
