So, after watching both of the Devil’s Carnival films… *Ahem* …multiple times… I have come up with a theory about the past of both Lucifer and the Ticket-Keeper. Let’s cover it: We have heard from Lucifer in “Alleluia!” that he used to read to God before his fall. This means that Lucifer was originally, as I assume, the Storyteller or the first Agent. Lucifer’s fall, I’m sure, came after he began questioning God’s rule and making plans with his friend, the Librarian. Not the Librarian we know, the one who’s played by Tech N9ne, but by the original Librarian, who would eventually become the Ticket-Keeper. With the help of the Librarian, Lucifer writes books that blaspheme God, such as the “Book of Knowledge”, which is the book June opens in the restricted section in Heaven’s Library in “Alleluia!”. The book gets spread around, meaning the knowledge of God’s evil doings are told, and thus, in turn, Lucifer is cast out of Heaven with the Librarian. Both of them are then replaced with Adam Pascal’s Agent and Tech N9ne’s Librarian. They then begin building the Carnival and all of those who have read the Book of Knowledge are then cast out in time for rebelling against God, leading to the people seen after June’s fall in “Alleluia!”
