Photo I took inside a grocery store a while ago, that I edited today. This section caught my eye because despite the heavily crowded store, it was empty. It had this chill that seemed to haunt the area. It felt like there was a ghost passing through me. Weird.

Working late into the night, your home is the first place you should go at the end of your shift. Your bed calls for you to relax in it. But something else calls to you down another road. Tucked between two faceless corporate buildings with a metal barrier blocking the entrance, the Hall beckons to you with a siren’s call. Your stare pierces the places between the bars, hoping for some sort of movement. One time, you thought you saw someone creeping along the farthest wall, completely silent. Yet soon that vision passes. After a few short minutes, you hurry back to your house, calmer than you were before. Tomorrow you will go back to stare.

My friend is plotting. How do I stop them. They are rubbing their hands together and softly laughing. The narrative is coming closer. Oh god. They have donned a cape. I am doomed.
