There are days where my heart still breaks over it. You’ll always hear from others how love is magical and beautiful, which is true but you don’t often hear the ugly parts. It can be jealous, it could be anger, it could be draining. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that love is the absence of pride, and that I’ve been searching for that type of unconditional love in others but I realized just recently that I’m incapable of giving it myself. I’m slowly learning, but the more I put my pride down the more I feel like I’m losing myself.. the more I appreciate the people who have loved me through my harsh words and ruthless actions. The people who have lost themselves loving me. I’m ashamed and heartbroken over my own self.
