So my friend found out that one of her scholarships fell through last minute. She has until Tuesday to not get withdrawn from her classes because she managed to convince the financial aid office at her school that she would have the money by then and they allowed her to register for courses with the expectation that she will have paid off this balance in full by Tuesday, September 22nd.

She already managed to get $5,000 and right now she needs another $7500 to pay for this balance and the deposit for housing. Her mother can’t qualify for any loans because of her credit and income, and neither can she. Normally, she relies on grants and scholarships to get her through school and works really hard to provide for herself by working while in school. Her father can’t work and her mom lives in another state, raising her five other siblings and as you could imagine, money is tight. She worked, and had her own money saved up and managed to pay half the balance, but she needs your help. Right now she’s staying on a friend’s couch and is trying to figure out how to get this balance paid and back into the groove of things again. And if she doesn’t pay this balance she will be homeless, she doesn’t have anywhere to stay because her family lives thousands of miles away from her and she can’t live on a friend’s couch, paying this balance will help her move back on to campus and help her attend classes. She only has two more years until left until she graduates with a degree in Computer Science and it’s really important to her and her family that she gets this degree so that she will be able to relieve her mother of the stress she is dealing by herself with working, and raising five kids.
