Lincoln Highway

I took this picture as a form of art you can find on Lincoln. Although this may not be official art, I will consider it a form of once advertised, but now street art. This poster has been up for a very long time. The thing for me is it’s location. Very interesting this sign is on the side of an alley, at the part where the alley turns into the street (Lincoln). You can only see this sign when heading south east on Lincoln. 

This is a plain picture but ahead at the end is Lincoln. I have used this larger alley many times when cutting through a plaza to enter back on to Lincoln. The lights can be very long and/or traffic can get very bad. If you turn into the plaza, this alley will take you further down to Lincoln, where you can beat the traffic or lights. 

This plot of land was once a parking lot to a movie theater. The ground here used to be concrete, and now has turned green. I always enjoyed the view, even when this was concrete. The plot is very large, yet very empty. This is right off Lincoln and Jersey (Kedzie). At times you will find people walking across. The look however, appears as if they are migrating, to somewhere else. Wondering, if they even know where they are going. 

By the way the 458 is my favorite car ever made, however, I’m looking to purchase the Audi S7 as an everyday car, the goal being before 29 years of age.

However, the truth is that not all the rooms at these motels shelter hookers and drug dealers. There are many people who live out of these motels. My sisters went to Mather High school, and knew people whose families called these motels home. 

“In 2002, statistics from the Chicago Police Department showed that police were called to the motels over 3,000 times in the period between 1995 and 2001, and those calls resulted in almost 1,000 arrests for a variety of offenses.”

Cop car parked on Lincoln. The car was very clean and deserved to be blogged. I also have had a fish sandwich from The Rim. They also make great smoothies. Go try!

Directly across the street from Birdman’s Parrots is a versatile soccer store, Arellano’s carpet. I have bought a few jerseys from here, as well have my friends and older brother.

I have many childhood memories at this fountain. Anyone else familiar?
