No more reblogging donation posts unless it's from mutuals, or people that my mutuals reblog (preferibly their other mutuals).
No more reblogging Gaza/Palestine posts. I'll still donate to them if they are verified and reblog general information of what's happening in there (fuck Israel and zionists), but I won't reblog any more since they cause people to DM me to donate even after I already reblogued and donated, a lot of time putting blood on my hands by saying that I'm the only person keeping them/their families (most of the time kids) alive if I'm not capable of donating/donating more, even saying that if I ignore them (wich is taking a bit to respond) I have no humanity. Exceptions will be posts about donating to organizations.

This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct
the misogyny baked into LLMs is really quite horrific, we ran headfirst into this when trying to test out AI features at my job in early 2024. I work for a dating service and long story short there was a brief window when we were testing the capacity of an LLM to use the information on people's profiles to find matches for them and generate a brief bio that could be sent to the other person.
the problem that cropped up over and over and over again was that essentially all of these bios presented the women as looking for a heterosexual marriage with children regardless of any information on the profile that actively contradicted any of those things. even as the model got better and more streamlined at everything else, this persisted.
the features/pipeline we were testing out there i believe have been scrapped and the original idea is operating under a new name, but my team handles different stuff now. so i have no idea how the backend is being handled and if there's any AI in the pipeline, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was and this was still an issue.

Last year I started designing a series of Coat of Arms, themed in the spirit of Pride Month and using different mythological creatures as heraldic animals. I now aim to turn these designs into wearable pins and will be running a Kickstarter in Julyto fund this endeavor!

I have found a very trustworthy local manufacturer, who has already shown the quality of their craftsmanship with the first batch of test pins I received, just look at the detail they were able to produce!
Since I try to support local manufacturers, which produce pins with fair wages and are more ethical than outside of Europe, the pins are more expensive to create than through the usual pipeline via Asia.
I therefore seek to crowdfund the expenses since they would be more than I can afford. The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or donāt pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. Got a refusal or no response from your MP?Ā
Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if theyāre already in Parliament. Even if they donāt, theyāre made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.
Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:
Organisations canāt provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination.
e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, menās rugby group including trans men (12.68).
Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee.
If youāre a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from womenās bathrooms if youāre perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a āthird spaceā bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)
Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).Ā
A womenās only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).
Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ālesbianā, and therefore no longer have legal protections if theyāre discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).

An amazing Ukrainian artist and a great person Kiki ( @kikichuchundra ) recently passed away. Her art inspired many people, including me. Kiki brought light in other's lives, she was a very cheerful person, a ray of sunshine in this world.
In loving memory of Kiki, me and Hachiko @hachikojesus want to invite you all - her fans, friends and just people who care - in a little project. The idea is to draw her favourite characters, things and themes Kiki loved and if you want, add a message from yourself. Words of respect or something that was sadly left unspoken.
We're doing it with a consent of her family. Our goal is to bring attention to her art, to remember her and moments with her, to show our love, and also help her family. Kiki and her genuine passion about art, her contribution to Ukrainian art community will never be forgotten.
