The Miranda of My City...
So today it just hit me, like Chris Brown’s fist, that I am the Miranda of my circle of friends. I have three beautiful, smart, amazing best friends and oddly enough we all fit into character types from Sex and the City.
Trishelle-
Trishelle is definitely the Carrie of our group. First of all, she is a major shopaholic!! I honestly don't think I have ever seen her were the same outfit twice. Shell has the why about her that makes every guy she's ever met fall all over her. She could have any guy she wants and she usually does but, just like Carrie, has a fear of commitment. Once the relationship gets too serious, she panics and flees, with a very small grace period before scooping up her next man. But she isn’t just about the boys, she's also a great friend! She's always there when you need her. When it comes to giving advice, she doesn’t hold back. She doesn’t tell you just what you want to hear, she tells you what you need to hear.
Teaghan-
Every circle need their own Samantha and for mine, its Teaghan. She's the wild one. The one that can convince you to do just about anything because she makes it sounds like an incredible time (which is usually is). She's also totally blunt and quite raunchy! Sex is one subject she never has a problem bringing up and usually shares way more than you wanted to hear, but you kinda love it because thats just who she. Her confidence is something everyone envies. She is so comfortable being exactly who she is, which for some, can be a little too much to handle, especially the fellas. She is definitely the dominant personality in her relationships. She does everything she can to please her man, which is very sweet and totally selfless but can be her downfall sometimes, because her generosity often gets taken for granted.
Delila-
Delila is our Charlotte. She is innocent and a little naive. She's the type that people flock to because of her perfection. She is good at almost everything she does and never settles for anything less than the image in her head. She’s the wife type who dates a guy for two weeks and she's already planning their wedding and how many kids they'll have and when. She plans everything out to the last detail. At only 21 she knows exactly where her life will be by 25. She's driven, committed, and she always get what she wants. For most women this would scare off every interested man,but for her its like they're under her spell. Its quite the sight to see, its incredible!
And then there’s me-
As much as I didn’t want to admit it, I am the Miranda on the group. I am a very independent person, and while most of the I’m ok with being on my own sometimes that makes me the odd man out, the 7th wheel. Ive noticed, especially lately that my “I don’t need a man to make me happy” mentality has morphed into me becoming little bitter and cynical. I use sarcasm to hide that fact that I’m unhappily single. But for some reason, even with consistent single status, I’m the one that all of my friends turn to for all their relationship advice. And I go with it because I would do anything for them.
We all have different aspects of the City women in all of us, but we mostly fit into our particular roles. And even being the Miranda of the group, it still somewhat ok because our group melds really well together.
