CUDA!
Really excited this semester! Although I had a great Christmas break, it's good to be back :)Â
Why am I so excited? CUDA! I'm enrolled in the GPU610 class this semester, which is an intro to parallel programming using CUDA, which is of course nVidia's platform for parallel computing using their GPUs. Â
The school's equipped GTX 480s, pretty bad ass few years back, still pretty bad ass for what we're doing. Unfortunately for me as excited as I am about CUDA, I didn't have the forethought to purchase a nVidia GPU early last year when I was in the market for GPUs. So I'll only be able to run my code on campus (for now). I'm thinking of grabbing a GTX 650 ti eventually; 768 cuda cores, not bad.
Anyway way, I'll be updating my progress in this course as the lectures go by, hopefully I'll find some interesting projects to work on.
