That’s why it was so moving to see the families and friends of these kids band together to help raise money for a cure.  Thanks to recent developments in research and medicine, people with CF can expect to live a healthier, longer life.  The life expectancy used for people with CF used to be 30 years, but now it is 43!  We need to keep pushing for a cure.  It’s possible we can find it within this young’s girl’s lifetime.  Visit cff.org to learn how you can help and see my photos from the Great Strides event at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Facebook.

I can't let the day pass without recognizing that three years ago today, @mutemath gave me one of my first photo passes. I didn't work for a blog yet, but I was the only credentialed photographer and they let me shoot the entire show from the pit during a very tight and elaborate production. The band and the crew treated me like I was one of their own and it was an integral moment in my early days as a music photographer.
