Nothing besides a very low whine left from the injured person. As he rubbed the sore spot he looked up, and he always had to be dramatic.

…I’m fine, don’t worry, it was just an encyclopedia….

Lucian quickly slid down the ladder, looking very concerned.

He just... drops a book on him.

Betha sighs, shaking her head with a lighthearted chuckle.

“Oh, I’ve lost it. You see, after using earthquake or some such destructive move, I sometimes unearth little… Things. Nothing special, usually, but I recently found a shard of… Some type of pottery, perhaps? It looked to me as though it had some type of text engraved… Then again, it could have just been scratches! Heavens know, my eyes aren’t quite what they used to be!”

That’s not to say she doesn’t notice a great many things… Just perhaps not those closest to her face.

He lights up immediately. Along with enjoying books, he has a healthy love for history. “Oh my, really? Well then, I suppose I better help you look for it!”

Hm… maybe the library would have something interesting in the history section? He added the book to his stack (on a lower shelf for now) before lifting the entire thing and starting to walk over to another section of the library.

Why is all the print so tiny? She’s been squinting for fifteen minutes, trying to find ONE damn book. Just one!
