AN ENTREPRENEURIAL MIND JOURNEY
NEWS FLASH!
I, Kiana F. Palmares, am not that interested with entrepreneurial mind in the first place. However, this subject has sparked something in me. It kind of tickled my mind to do and explore some things about this field. Through this course, I have learned to turn problems into opportunities. I have also realized that this field is not that easy as it may seem to others. Moreso, I learned how to manage my time properly, and how to interact with people more effectively. This Final term has gone by so passed and the events that we have conducted are the Final Term Pitching and the Lecture Series.
Last April 30, 2024, WeFetch! had their Final term Pitching at the College of Business and Management building, Employee Lounge. The proponents of this proposed application are the following: Samantha Angelie Alonzo, Raul Gacang Jr., Kristel Jane Francisco, Kiana Palmares, Charimaine Penola, Mark Kenjie Penoso, Christian Lloyd Tonson, and Michael Yotoko. They have discussed the details of their application including how it will work, its fixed rates for every service that will be offered, and details about its value propositions.
The pitcher was Palmares; scriptwriters were Gacang, Tonson, and Yotoko; and the ones who led the making of PowerPoint presentation and the prototype of the application were Francisco, Penola, and Penoso. Alonzo is then assigned to the video production and other details needed for the making of the app. Thus, the workloads of each of the members of the group were equally divided.
Their Final Pitching went much better for them. They are the fifth presenter from their class to pitch their proposed service. The panelists this time listened to their talks. However, the former raised some concerns especially on the rates of the service. They asked if how we are going to manage such big target market with only limited resources and affordable rates. After defending our proposed venture, we have agreed to polish everything if we will opt to continue working on this application. The panelists also made us realized that there will be competitors anywhere, so we must be diligent enough to be better than them.
May 8, 2024. The GEE 16 conducted their Lecture Series at the University Convention Center. There are four speakers who have spoken about the most important things to remember in this field. For instance, they have discussed about what a startup is and how to classify it from others. Moreover, they also highlighted the importance of different aspects that will be relevant in entrepreneurship. Looking forward to more events like this soon because it served as an eye opener for everyone who is and will be working in this field soon.
