Interestingly, it looks like the texture for the view was made a year ago for the Midnight Ice Window, released in November 2024:

(I'm not sure if I feel relieved that this isn't a new development and that it seems to be a fairly isolated incident - we haven't had other AI items in the past year, after all - or upset that it's now made it into the game twice without any sort of declaration.)

#webkinz #ai #i've seen people in the webkinz discord say that it should at least be declared #and i agree with that #it's one thing to generate a background for your advertisement #(extreme caveat: this has not been proven but one of the eStore points ad backgrounds may have been generated. not the items or anything)#but the eStore items are considered premium and i think once you're paying Real World Money for a virtual item-#you should be told if it isn't fully human-made #(not trying to excuse their use of genAI btw - i think it's bad and they have plenty of assets they should just reuse instead #but all things considered... these are minor missteps. these are seemingly the only item in Classic to have done this #and they're still clearly manually 3D-modelled (well. reused) and manually textured and rendered)
