Using Gparted to increase the size of a partition:

Go to the Application Menu -> System -> GParted

Select the correct drive in the drop down menu on the right hand side of the tool bar

Go to the partition menu and select resize/move partition

Drag the right hand end of the partition as far to the right as it will go

Click the Apply button on the toolbar
