Please stop with this false information. If you had any intelligence at all you would research the information that you put on your blog. Since you are not intelligent enough I will education you. There is NO CURRENT CURE for type 1 diabetes. It is an autoimmune disease where a persons white blood cells attack their own Beta cells (aka pancreatic cells). The pancreas is an organ that creates a protein called insulin which breaks down sugar in the body. Now just a lesson on anatomy when your body breaks down carbs what do they turn into? That’s right sugar. Now when white blood cells attack the beta cells (insulin producing cells) that individual is left without a way to produce insulin. The pancreas is not like a liver which has the ability to grow back, but even if it did the white blood cells see those beta cells as a foreign body and they will attack those newly formed cells. Which is why transplants do not work for that long. So please educate yourself, there is no excuse for passing off false information.

Thanks for the lesson on anatomy and some basic endocrinology. I'm always puzzled as to why some individuals seem to think that saying, "there is NO CURRENT CURE" for an illness is a higher manifestation of intelligence than saying there is a cure. Clearly this is not for you buddy. With your attitude even if the cure stared you right in the face you'd probably quote some textbook you read about why the cure wouldn't work anyway. Unless YOU had researched my information, you are actually in no position to comment unless of course you have personally tested every treatment that claims to cure type I diabetes and found yourself uncured. But how could you possibly have tried out every treatment? Besides, how do you know if one treatment is failing in the US another one isn't being developed in China? To say there is NO CURRENT CURE means you'd have to have been everywhere at the same time trying out all possible cures, which means that you must be GOD. So unless you are GOD you have no right to tell me that there is NO CURRENT CURE for type I diabetes. An accurate statement from a person with some humility would be to say I don't know of a cure for type I diabetes.
