Thistle!!!

alright, i probably ain't gonna put it as eloquently as most, but I think the scariest thing about the backrooms comes from being STUCK.

When you fall into the backrooms, you are now stuck in a new location, one you are not familiar with and could possibly have dangers in it. Immediately you will be put on edge. It is natural, to have this fear of the unknown. You will want to retreat - except you can't. I would imagine the initial panic would be horrifying.

Now, it depends on which version of the backrooms you like to believe in, but I personally really like the idea of the initial backrooms: endless walls, fluorescent lighting, musty smells and damp carpet. Seeing the same damn wall paper over and over and over again. You are alone. There is no one here but you.

And as you continue to look for a way out, your hope slowly fades as the days pass. Your hunger pangs get worse and you think longingly of home. Your friends, your family, your people. You doggedly keep wandering the endless halls, looking for that exit.

the backrooms are exactly what they say they are: The space behind the stage, the walls that (maybe?) border our reality. You are now outside of that world, a spectator who cannot observe, forever trapped behind the yellow wallpaper.

watched the backrooms movie, it was alright

I feel like if it was done Blair With style a bit more it could have been more fun. It wasn't a bad movie though! The set design, impeccable. The acting, I feel, got to shine better as the movie progressed. I feel like the beginning was a little stilted. The middle was the best part, it really did have that "oh my god we're stuck in here feeling" (though this isn't true as we'll later find out).
