Prudence "Pru" Thelman

“It’s.. kind of a habit. Mostly because of my job.. I have to take care of it because I use temporary dye when I need to work.” Though she won’t say what she works as just yet. Pru doesn’t need to know she’s an idol. Plus it might not be believable anyway. Most people who look at Nimue wouldn’t believe she’d do that kind of work to begin with.

“I know. I’m friends with Damien. But where I’m from, it’s not common. Japanese are often born with black hair and darker eyes. Not red ones like mine. So it’s kind of considered a bad omen I guess is how I can put it? Best to just let people think whatever they want I guess…”

She just nodded. “Understandable. I think I recall the girls once saying that dark hair and eyes were the normal thing in most Asian countries, hence like why all their idols get picked on if they dye their hair or something like that?” she commented, shrugging.

     “Ya look nice!” He smiled, rocking on his heels. “I always liked some of the outfits you wore with your friends. Sometimes, I wish I might’ve joined, but I wouldn’t be too good for some goth kid. I’m too cheerful to be all sad.”

     It’s been a while since he last saw them, too. His hands rested in his pockets, just a pinch anxious. At least he wasn’t so much of a nervous wreck now like how he used to be as a kid. “O-Oh, me? Well, uh… I’m doin’ fine! Y’know, livin’ life. I… got outta my parents’ house! Nothin’ much new but… I’m makin’ ends meet! What about you?”

“Thank you.” Pru replied to the compliment, taking a mental note of the nervous action the blonde was showing but not commenting on it. “We were assholes. Judgmental assholes acting better than others. You really shouldn’t have wanted to join that. The clothes were always open for anyone to wear though, even if you didn’t have the same mindset of a goth.”

“It’s done pretty well for self done. I can only imagine it’s probably difficult to get it done like that.” At least the conversation didn’t feel forced compared to what Nimue usually dealt with. Keeping her hands in her jacket pockets, her head tilts a bit before she shrugs.

“You’re the first. I get compared to Damien a lot. Some people think I might be related to him or something since we both have red eyes. Hate to break it to them but I’m just a human compared to him. Then again the both of us end up getting grief for it. He just gets treated a little more harshly than I do, most ignore me. Not that it’s a problem. The less I deal with the better.”

Pru shrugged at that. She had been doing her hair differently for so many years at this point that it was all something she could do unconsciously, at least on herself. On others? She had never attempted before so she had no idea if that was a skill she had.

She then nodded at the last part of what Nimue said. That much made sense to her, the less anyone dealt with was often better.

“Still, besides the color of your hair being something most humans don’t have, the texture looks soft and a bit... fluffy?” Pru offered up. “It looks like you take care of it well.”

     After what felt like another poor day of hearing another slew of Cartman’s degrading insults, he had to spend the day alone. He wanted time alone and to detox from such a horrible place, treating himself to a few things for the time being.

     What he did not expect was to meet one of the Goth kids again where he had gone to shop. He perked up to hearing someone greeting him, turning around before met with a more familiar face. Immediately, his own expressions lit up, smiling.

“Oh! Hello!” He grinned. “You’re one of them ol’ Goth kids from school, aren’t ya? I recognize the outfit! Uh… how are ya doin’? I didn’t think I’d meet you ‘round here! Y’left a while ago, didn’tcha?”

Pru gave a small nod. “I use to be one.” she admitted, before looking down at the monochrome outfit she had one. “...I suppose most would see this and think goth. In a way.” she muttered, more for her self than for him.

She pushed past that, not wanting to stick to the fake that she had been called goth after so long of not being part of that group.

“Hm?” Pru hummed curiously. “Ah, right. I did leave after graduating high school. I just came back not long ago. I’m taking a bit of a break at the moment and... well, took the chance to come home.”

Pru’s got some thinner level pouty lips but she still has cute lips.

For her, she uses tinted chapstick for daily and various glosses if she’s feeling bold.

For her OF job? She’s got various lip stains that won’t come off during her job.

There’s silence at first, confusion. She hadn’t really spoken to any of the goth kids as a child, and even now it’s thrown her off a bit. At least with them though she knows Pru probably isn’t like most of the girls that hang out together. For a moment, she tries to figure out how to respond before giving a slight smile.

“Oh. thanks. They’re what I feel most comfortable in honestly. As for my hair, it’s actually natural. I’m a uh.. rare case I guess. Same goes for my eyes. Guess it’s uh good or bad depending on how you view it. What abotu you, do you get yours done professionally?”

Pru gave a small nod, figuring it was better to accept what the other had said about her unnatural hair color. The eyes looked more albino so it was natural but not? Well, this is South Park so expecting natural and normal were the oddities here, were they not?

“Self done.” Pru answered about her own hair.

She let her hand fall to her side at that, deciding that to keep playing with her own hair would look weird.

Pru hadn’t really meant to stare like she had caught herself but the outfit that the stranger was wearing had really caught her eye and had Pru reminiscing about her young when she was purely goth and not monochrome as she was now.

She took it upon herself to make her way up to the purple haired woman and give her a nod. “I like your outfit.” she stated, before reaching up and tapping her own dyed red hair. “Also, your hair. Professional or self done?”

Pru hadn’t expected to see a certain person as she entered the store but it was fine, she could ignore him if he tried to start anything with her... not that someone nicknamed ‘Butters’ would do something like that.

He had once been Cartman’s little whipped buddy but hadn’t he changed over the course of school?

Pru shrugged, she couldn’t recall if he had or not.

The job that Pru has is OF.

This is why she keeps her job private. When on camera she puts her hair up and uses wigs, colored contacts too, and lace masks to hide her appearance to some degree. 

This is done because the idea of having a very stable income from such a job is seen as disgusting by most and thus Pru keeps it to herself because she doesn’t have the time or energy to be judged be people.

Pru is going to college for credits more than anything else.

At first Pru didn’t think her more emotion based writing that lead to fluff and smut would be popular, it was her rare moments of being horny, but the books ended up being a hit with other young adults so she took to using a pseudonym for writing the smuttlier books.
