i had something i was gonna request from the clip account earlier and i can’t fucking remember it and it’s pissing me off so much i hope bread stubs his toe really bad. i love using b&b as stress toys it makes me feel better.
uhm just so this isn’t a nothingburger ask on its own uh additional thoughts! i got a tiktok or two on my feed today about pregnancy ultrasounds and whatnot so it got me thinking about mpreg again ofc, first off banana is 100% there for every single one of breads appointments, second off, do you think they’d want to wait until their baby is born to learn their gender? i can’t imagine they’d be super into picking specifically blue/pink clothes and ofc would love their baby either way so i could see them just waiting. i can also see them wanting to know just out of curiosity, idk. flip flopping on this lol.
i’ve admittedly been imagining them with a baby girl, mostly because i think banana would be a great girl dad. is that because he reminds me a lot of my dad? maybe. but regardless. mpreg WAS technically sprouted from tinkrbelle’s(?) au where b&b have a daughter so it’s only righttt. (obviously a son would be great and awesome too im just Thinking). i hope she grows up to be a lesbian and banana is sooo so proud of her. this is jot really that important i just wanted to mention
i might be way off base here but i have also been thinking about bread like uhh guessing? i suppose? trying to guess their babies gender? idk how to phrase it. but i’m just picturing him telling banana one day about the baby kicking or something and using she or he to refer to them, and banana points it out and breads says some stupid cheesy shit, “it feels like a girl” or wtv. it’d be funny if he was wrong. it’d also be funny if he switched it at some point, any pronouns baby /silly

When you remember you know where to find me!!!! Whenever Bread stubs his toe next is when your memory will be refreshed!!! I am sure they love having pain projected onto them and us telling them to run into walls and stub their toes. Makes them feel loved. We must keep doing it.
I love that this turned into an everything burger, yes Banana would be at every single one of Bread's check ups, he'd be with him for all of the ultrasounds and if there are any complications he would be there at appointments for that. He'd hold his hand during the ultrasounds and point at the screen all happy even though he doesn't really understand what he's looking at, especially at the beginning. I do wonder if they would want to wait or not. I think they wouldn't even know. What I think they might do is get an envelope with the gender and keep it in their house while they decide if they want to know or not, I think they wouldn't want to rule out either option and they would probably want to find out in their own home if they decided not to wait. I agree that they would not care about traditional baby clothes and baby toys, though they would get a few stereotypical things, especially if they had a girl, because it would just be so cute for her to have bows and little dresses.
I kinda am leaning towards them wanting to know before the birth, just to be prepared, especially with the way circumcision is pushed on baby boys and parents are often coerced into it in. They would want to talk in depth about the pros and cons (I lowkey think they would be against circumcising their son just because it is genital mutilation very technically, anyways I digress) I think Bread would be anxious his whole pregnancy and I think not knowing the gender may just add onto it more and make him more anxious even if he isn't missing out on much and even if it doesn't change how much they love the baby, but I can also see them wanting to have a surprise. I think they would also be back and forth on it so I truly think it could go either way.
I do think tinks art is where this idea came from, or at least my comment about mpreg on it was! Banana absolutely would be a great girl dad he was so right about that. Oh my god Banana would take her shopping and he would dress her up all pretty and he would do the whole "no boys" thing but in a half ironic way. He would get her ice cream after her first break up and he would buy her dark chocolate whenever she's on her period. I don't know other girl things but like it is so cute to think about him being a girl dad. Like a son is good too because they would raise him right, he'd probably play sports or be in choir/band. Their kid(s) would be very enriched and bnb would listen to what they wanted but would heavily encourage/support them doing extracurriculars. I hope their daughter would be a lesbian and when she comes out Banana would laugh a little to himself, thinking in his head he basically manifested this, and he would take her out for lunch and ask her about if she has any crushes, he can't help but embarrass her a little.
I think Bread would guess!!! Even if just in a silly way, possibly one day claiming it kicked like a girl and the next day saying it's weighing him down like a boy, random dumb stuff like that, maybe even changing within the same day to make it funnier. He'd only do it to make Banana laugh, because it would every time. I also think him just dropping a gender one day is cute, saying it just feels like a girl/boy, if he was right about it I think it would come up a lot, them joking about Bread being psychic, stuff like that.
