You don't owe your past self a courtroom.

Today I found an old version of myself hiding in something completely ordinary. A song. A stupid little phrase. For a few seconds, I wasn't remembering that time—I was that person again. Then it passed, and I had to remember that some memories don't ask permission before changing the room.

You don't have to turn every mistake into a lesson. Sometimes you were simply wrong. And sometimes that's all there is to it.

Sometimes personality has a backstory.

I caught myself rehearsing an argument that may never happen. I had the whole thing prepared—the explanations, the things I would finally say, even the way I imagined them responding. Then I realized I had already lived an entire conversation with someone who wasn't even there.

You can be grateful for your life and still wonder what happened to the person you thought you'd become.

Needs are not interruptions.

Tonight I don't feel broken. I don't feel healed either. I just feel human. Somewhere in between carrying too much and letting some of it go. And maybe that's a place worth acknowledging.
