you were stranded in the MMO “Elder Tale” (from the anime Log Horizon), which class would you be?

The classes are divided into Warrior, “Weapon Attack”/”Weapon-Based”/”Item-Based” (skill monkey), “Recovery” (support, clericky), and “Magic Attack” (arcanist) types, with three apiece. I link to the Yamato (Japanese) server versions because the story focuses on that server (we don’t have many details about the others):

Warrior: Guardian (plate armor), Monk (fists, fast), and Pirate (Samurai on the Yamato server; weirdly complicated tanking class, no shields)

“Weapon”-Based: Assassin (which works for both Rogue-types and Archer/Hunter/Ranger ones; burst DPS), Bard (a support class despite being in this category), and Swashbuckler (dual-wields; sustained DPS).

Support: Cleric, Druid, and Medium (Kannagi on the Yamato server; think Vanilla Discipline Priest [force fields] in WoW).

Arcanist: Enchanter (crowd-control), Sorcerer (pew pew), and Summoner (minions and teleports; can be reflavored into a necromancer, amongst other things)

You also get a subclass, but that covers everything from profession to flavoring one class into something [e.g., making a Paladin] to RP, so it’s kinda hard to say what each one does. Like, there are two subclasses called “artificer,” one of which works like the D&D class of the same name.

I want to ask the arcanists first not because I don’t want to pester everyone else, but because I do that a lot already and we’ve got a lot of magic users.
