"I'm always just trying to have a normal time," Chandler laughed a little. She still often felt like she'd been transported into a video game most days, but people were sick of hearing it. "I would definitely describe the vibes as chill. But that's because I usually find history boring. So maybe this can change my mind. Besides, it can't suck that bad if I have your company."
Pascal nodded, normal time sounded good for him. "Yeah well I thought small town, probably has some mildly cool history, maybe we'll see a photo of one of the founders and realize we know them?" he shrugged, a smile tugging at his features, "Never know with this place right?"

"Okay okay let's try and have the most normal time ever. Surely they won't have any of--" Pascal shook his head and shuffled his hand confusingly, "-whatever this town turned into, in this place. Just chill history vibes, what do we think?" he asked as the two of them stepped into the museum for the first time.

carmen takes his hand, shaking it gingerly before releasing it, her brows rising some at both the mention of the commune and also calling the place a paradise -- she very much hopes it was sarcasm. "it's nice to meet you too -- and not too long, only a few days by now. so, you know, i barely know anyone and it probably wasn't my best choice to just show up to a town party and wander around kinda aimlessly. but, oh well. and you?"
"I'll have to disagree with you on that one, think coming here is exactly how you meet people." Pascal smiled. "My first weeks was just me running around like a headless chicken saying asking 'what the fuck man' to anyone who passed me." he let out a dry laugh and shook his head, "Honestly, I still want to do that. I feel like the induction thing really doesn't prepare you for the recent events."

"Same." Pascal nodded, "About not being familiar, not being farm to table." he added with a smile. "Though I guess I've been here long enough to know." he mused frowning lightly, "Sometimes I think I've been here for too long." Pascal added wistfully. "Anyway, you wanna join in for a snow cone? On me" he said with a smile.

Pascal looked over to his little fishing boat at the far end of the lake, the event was cool and all but it did mean he had no chance of fishing today especially with so much traffic in the lake. He guessed he was left with nothing but enjoying the festivities for now, "Have you tried the snow cone yet? When I think of it all I can taste is artificial sweetness in my mouth but then again it's impossible they have that shit here so maybe I should give it a try?" he shrugged, "Yeah, I might be overthinking it." Pascal chuckled
"So you still remember what it's like out in the 'other world'," Jonathan did air quotes. "I've been briefed on how things work here, but I mostly feel.... confused."
"Yeah, the other world" Pascal laughed shaking his head, it ""did sound weird saying it like that. Although he supposed it did feel like two separate worlds or the before and after. "You're confused? I'm as confused, trust me. Although I was easily confused outside of Huntsville too so maybe not much of a difference." Pascal gave Jonathan a friendly smile. "How long have you been here man?"

Seated at the booth the Huntsville Community Collective set up at the trading post, the clouds over Sol's head immediately parted at the sight of Pascal. To say his face 'brightened' felt like an overstatement, but there was always a glint of excitement and recognition in Sol's eyes when Pascal came around.
Sol liked him a lot. Pascal was easygoing and kind and patient. And for Sol (who found making friends really difficult sometimes) that meant the world.
"...Wassup, man?" His hand lifted to dap his tattooed palm against Pascal's. Sol didn't go out of his way to let people touch him - that was only allowed if you were special or family - and here in this strange place, so far from home, Pascal quickly became one of the lucky ones.
"...Yeah, actually... The meetings are always pretty well attended... And right now we have..." He looked over the list of people who signed up to join the HCC that day. "...Ten members currently, and a few interested in learning more... And I'm not dead yet so. Fingers crossed."
Pascal greeted Sol's outstretched hand with his own, smiling and patting the other's shoulder in a half hug only obstructed by the table. "All good, all good, thanks" he nodded, Pascal truly didn't have much to say. Other than his usual activities he'd not be up to much, that's partially probably why he felt a certain pride towards Sol. Sol had quickly became like family to Pascal, and seeing the young man applying himself, standing for what he believes made Pascal's heart smile.
Pascal laughed at Sol's last remark his head shaking "Not dead yet is sure an achievement. But hey, sounds amazing, the meeting looked pretty full." he pointed back toward the venue with a nod, Pascal finally caved in and went to one of the meetings, although he wasn't very politically minded himself. "Some good points you made over there." he smiled at the other.

"So... you guys just live like this?" Jonathan gestured to the large crack in the middle of the town. "It seems like you'll get a lot of working out just so you can get to where you're trying to go." He let out a soft chuckle. "I'm sure you're all really sick of getting these questions, but I can't help it."
"Ah don't worry about it, man. I've been here for what? Almost a year now and I'm still shocked every time something happens" Pascal shook his head, "You'd think it's same old in here but it sure as hell is never boring." he noted with a nod, hell, yup that would be an accurate description Pascal thought.

"it might be original? unless it's super new because i've only been here a few months and it doesn't found familiar to me." grayson answered. for once he was out without harold but he didn't want to risk something happening to the little robot so he had it tucked away somewhere safe back at the house. "or maybe it's not? i didn't listen to a lot of music before."
"Yeah I was thinking the same, I've only been here for what, less than a year. Can't have had that many new songs out right?" Pascal frowned at the other thinking. "I'm so confused with this place because, like, this could be some obscure beatles song I've never heard of and I'd think it's completely new, you know?" he exhaled a laugh. "But then again, what does it matter right?" he shrugged.

Pascal was nodding his head to the song he's never heard before but was enjoying as one of the music acts sang on on the stage. "Do you think this is an original song? Or something people just don't know about because it's too new?" he frowned lightly turning to the person standing next to him as he pondered the question himself.
