vic & teddy
That was it. That was the moment he could have kissed her. Any romantic or sexual tension he was feeling between them could have slipped away if he just kissed her while she was in his arms. Instead though? He chuckled awkwardly and nodded, “Guess so,” He said quietly, not really sure what else to say. He didn’t mind being in the friend zone or so he tried to convince himself. At least he still had her, “Poison me huh? Should I be concerned?” He asked in a teasing tone before shaking his head, “We’re not kids anymore,” He pointed out, “But okay, yeah, I think of sex sometimes but not all the time and I don’t know about aching,” He added. Maybe he just didn’t want Vic to think of him that way. Only because if when he ever did kiss, he wanted her to know it was real, “Dora,” He repeated with a soft smile, “Yeah, it’s beautiful. I imagine another Edward would need to come in somewhere. Maybe go by Ed instead so there is less confusion,” He joked. He looked back at her, noticing the way she chewed on the inside of her cheek and he reached out to touch that cheek as if that would stop her. He carressed her face and let his thumb wrong along her cheekbone, “You’re gonna be a great mum too,” He replied.
“possibly about your future but at this exact moment i think you’ll be okay.” she replied, nudging him with her elbow. “relax up - i’m just shit stirring i’m not going to kill you in cold blood.” she rolled her eyes though a wide grin took up her face. “exactly - kids are boring and so one sided.” vic replied, a brow arching. “does this conversation make you feel awkward?” she questioned, turning in the bed to look at him. “you can shut me down - i just thought no topic was out of bounds.” she admitted, pulling her lips into a quick frown. “i’m sorry teddy.” a laugh escaped her lips. “your family and their edwards - it’s a never ending saga - you don’t even need the last names, i’m pretty sure everyone knows an edward name is related to you lot.” she teased, pushing him with her hand gently. “maybe - i don’t know i feel like it’s a lot of pressure in this family, i mean look at how big the weasley family is - it seems like a big legacy to live up to.” she shrugged, leaning into his touch as her eyelids fluttered close. “i’m just scared of not being enough - grandma was a great mum, and my mum’s great - what if i end up being the dud.”
