Ety mun since you said that Kyle can be with a guy or girl you've got me curious.. Is he a top or bottom with guys? :3c
( Oh, gosh... Haha, I hope it's not something of a TMI answering this, but I guess I can still answer. Er, I guess I'd say that it depends on what Kyle and whoever he's with are both fine with? Just defining him as just a "top" or a "bottom" are pretty narrow terms to give him, haha. In other words, it honestly just depends on the person he's with and the, uh... Situation? Yeah, I should stop now... )
What kind of people do you like/hate?
"I think it's a lot easier for me to explain the kinds of people that I hate than the ones I like. Cowards, brats, and people with that 'holier-than-thou' attitude don't really rub me off the right way. ...At all. 'Can't really stand people that like chatting on and on, because they like hearing the sound of their own voice or something, too. ...The people I can tolerate are basically ones that aren't like I just said. I ain't exactly the kinda guy that's always smiles and rainbows with people, but that doesn't mean I can't tolerate some of them - the ones that don't piss me off."
What's your type of guy and girl?
âMy âtypeâ? âDonât really think about it that much, but I like a dame thatâs got a good head on her shoulders. Smart, witty, and someone thatâs got a good amount of confidence in her. âCanât really be with someone thatâs god no confidence when I ainât the most confident guy, myself⌠Heh, I guess Iâd need this woman to keep me in check and make sure I donât end up doing anything stupid with myself.â
âGuysâŚ? Ah, well⌠Heâs also gotta be confident in himself, yeah. Er⌠âMaybe be able to hold in more than just one drink at a bar and have a liking for some good jazz music. He should just be a guy that I can also think of as a trustworthy friend, just like a woman partner, too. But, maybe I like guys with other personalities, too. Iâm⌠not so sure. âŚYeah.â
Canât believe I actually answered something like that so honestly. Even answering it for guys, too⌠âThe hellâs wrong with meâŚ

Headcanon: Sleep
( It's hard for Kyle to have a pleasant night of sleep. His mind's always plagued with one thought or another that can cause him to stay up until the early morning. If he's somehow able to fall asleep at a good time, he still won't be able to shake the thoughts out of his head, which may influence his dreams. Haha, I think the only thing he wants is one night of sleep where he doesn't have to worry about anything. )
( Gah... I really want to have Kyle dance with Harmony. I'm a huge sucker for that kind of stuff, gahhh... )
Ask the character/mun:Â Ask the muse whatever you want for them to answer IC; or ask the mun a personal question to get to know better or to get an OOC answer [although we would like to keep these at a minimum]!
Truth/Dare: Be reasonable with the dares! If you start getting ridiculous no one will want to do them; characters arenât really obligated to do all the dares they receive. Donât forget about the truth part as well!
Headcanon:Â Anons send the character a word, or a name and you may write a small/long headcanon about said word!
Drabbles:Â Give the muse a prompt and they may write a short drabble on it.
Ever gone in dry?
What do you order at the bar? Have you ever taken any psychoactive drugs? Do you like your coffee with cream or just black? Do you prefer warm or cool weather? What's your favorite car model? What brand of cologne do you use?
Damn, that's a lot of questions all at once...
"If a bar's got the good stuff, I'll go with a good scotch, maybe even a cognac. I don't drink any of those shitty mixed drinks with fruit juice or whatever the hell the put in there."
"...Uh, last time I checked, I don't think I've taken any illegal substances."
"Black coffee's always the way to go. Maybe drink it with cream once in a blue moon, but drinking it black's the best wake-up call in the morning."
"Being raised in LA, then moving over to Manhattan, and finally moving back to LA, I can't really say that I've got a preference. 'Guess if I boiled it down to the extremes, I'd have to say that I like cold weather. You can only really wear so little in hot weather before it gets, uh... Embarrassing..."
"Cars, huh... 'Not really a guy that's so big on cars, but I can never say no to a nice-looking ride. That said, an Oldsmobile 8 Convertible has got a pretty nice look to it. I remember an old friend of my mom's driving that thing around sometimes. I ain't huge on cars, so I don't know if I've really got a favorite model."
"I don't really put on any of those fragrances and crap when I go out. I just take a hot shower in the morning, and I'm good to go for the day. 'Don't really have any special occasions where I should use them, anyway... Now that I think of it, I think I've got a little bottle of Polo stashed away in my bathroom."

What do you like to eat for lunch?
"'Nothing better than chowing down on one of Claire's burgers over at Lucky's Cafe. Pair that up with a beer or even a bottle of Cool Pop, and you've got one pretty damn happy customer."
what do you think about barack obama
"'Never heard of him."
H-how do I tell a boy that I like him? A-and what do boys like Mr. Hyde?
"Uh, I ain't really the kinda guy to go to for dating advice, you know..."
"... ... But if you want an answer, I guess the only thing to do is to just tell him how you feel, right? Doing things in that roundabout way may seem cute to some people, but some guys would probably like it you just cut to the chase. ...For what guys like... Ah, well... I don't wouldn't mind being taken to a good bar for a drink. 'Maybe catch a flick before that?"

Chapter 1 ( Introduction & Open )
The Batter paid hardly any attention to Kyleâs comments about his reasons for ignoring people. If he had to say anything, he would say it now with a somewhat casual air about him that had been missing previously. He shrugged, appearing to lean slightly back before he had immediately straightened his back once more. He wasnât too comfortable, he found, lounging against a bench after all â he wasnât very comfortable slouching in general, actually. Giving a small shrug, he lifted his fingers cautiously away from his bat as if he thought it would bite or something and responded, âItâs not very hard when the only people you could talk to only wheezed.â
Again, he was making references towards his own world, but he thought that that was more than enough to give him reason to work more and play less. He was never the kind of guy for âfunâ anyway. He took note of the silence as soon as he had mentioned the usage of past tense regarding the other manâs job. He wondered if he could get away, ever, with calling him a detective even in a mildly joking manner. Shaking his head a little at the thought, he sat and waited in pure silence while, he assumed, Kyle pondered and thought about what to say next. Turning his head, the Batter caught sight of what Kyle had been doing.
His hands were on his knees while his back was in a vague hunch. Overall, there was a somewhat⌠solemn air about the ex-detective that the Batter found mildly interesting. Frowning, he turned away and resumed his seemingly unblinking stare out into the open space while he still heard the occasional gunshot before, finally, things seemed to calm down. He did not comment about it, though. That could wait until after Kyle was done explaining, even vaguely, about what had happened.
The Batter had gotten what he wanted, but he found it slightly odd that the man seemed regretful of what he did. The story itself didnât hold much entertainment value for the purifier, but he figured that that wasnât the point. It was to tell a back-story â a prologue of sorts that would only lead to the inevitable demise of a manâs career. It seemed like he liked having the job he did, too, until that happened. Giving a roll of his shoulders, he swallowed and looked down at his legs in thought.
He almost didnât respond to Kyleâs question, nor did he notice that he was looking at him with a sad look in his eyes. He didnât realize this until he glanced at him, almost being caught off-guard by the unexpected look of pure, raw emotion in his eyes. It seemed minute, but the Batter found it easy to catch and understand because of his sonâs eyes. Biting down on his lip, he clenched his fingers a bit before responding in a careful voice, âYes. I can see why you quit.â He shut his eyes, appearing to be in thought once more before he breathed out a quiet sigh.
âI donât see why youâre regretful about it, though, as it seems like you are,â he said with a frown at remembering what he had âaccomplishedâ with his sacred mission before he was forced into the Hive. âSeems like the right thing to do to me.â
While I looked on at Batter with that sappy look in my eyes, I caught sight of the small but still noticeable movements he had made. The slight biting of his lip followed by a frown as well as jerking and clenching of his fingers all went back to my idea that there was something that the guy was thinking about from the comments I would bring up. But, he honestly could have just been acting like his aloof self, and those movements and reactions of his might as well have been nothing but habits. I really couldn't ever seem to tell with Batter. His almost-shaky response in understanding why I left the force also caught me off guard, but it probably wasn't such a big deal either.
Then, after hearing Batter's matter-of-fact words, questioning why I felt regret for what I did, I had to think about that for a moment. Was it the right thing to do? Maybe. But was it the morally-correct thing to do? I honestly wasn't so sure about that. Even though the subject of morality and values in society was what the police force tried to keep (aside from all that corruption went on inside of them...), we knew that we had to act in accordance with those strict and almost heartless laws and punish the punks that broke it. But, sometimes it got me thinking if punishing some of those petty robbers or whoever was the morally right thing to do. We didn't know about their history or what really went on in their life, and we honestly could give a rat's ass about it, too. It was a job of contradictions and hypocrisy, but I still found myself practically married to the work that it gave me.
"Well, yeah, of course I'm regretful," I finally replied, erasing that sad look in my eyes and returning to my typical expression. "I shot my partner, the guy that worked alongside me for years. I just thought that... Maybe if we talked things out, if he could just tell me what was going on, I wouldn't have had to pull the trigger on him. I felt too guilty about the whole thing, and I knew that I couldn't stick around much longer without constantly thinking about what I'd done." It suddenly came to me that maybe Batter didn't have an understanding of Bradley's importance to me. 'Course, it was all just a guess, but his stoic, quiet attitude didn't exactly make him come off as a guy that had a close circle of friends...
I dumbly sat in silence afterward, tapping my shoes lightly against the concrete ground beneath me. After brief contemplation, I patted my hands on my knees and stood myself up. I stretched my arms and gave a nice crack to my back, realizing just how long I'd been sitting my ass on that shitty bench. My notebook with the pen in between the pages was still in my hand, just in case I wanted to jot down anything else. In a rather apologetic tone while scratching my head, I turned to Batter and remarked, "Heh, sorry that I probably kept you for way longer than you wanted. I think I've been boring you for long enough." I gave a glance off towards the direction of the train station before adding, "'Think I'm gonna go to a bar and get myself drunk in the next Sector over. ... ...You're welcome to come, if you want." That second sentence came out with almost too much hesitation.
Just as I was about to give a final nod to the guy and to walk towards the train station, I remembered one last thing I had wanted to ask him. "Ah, that reminds me: 'You know which Sector you're living in? Like I said, this looks like the place where I wound up, so I'll be around here if you ever wanna meet up and talk again. 'Could use a nice change of scenery aside from this shit hole. ... ...It was nice, talking, I mean." If I said anymore, I probably would've come off as way too much of a sap to Batter, so I fell silent after that and looked over at him, waiting for a reply.
Chapter 1 ( Introduction & Open )
Eh?
[It took Chihiro a little while to register what Kyle was suggestingâ-could he really abide by that? Allow this man he barely knew to fight his battles for him? It made Chihiro feel weak, always having to pester someone to protect him. He wanted to be strongerâŚsomeone people could rely on to do those things. He couldnât even stand up to childhood bullies, and that alone made him feel soââ]
âOi!â
[A harsh voice calls out, and Chihiro lets out a small yelp. Â There were three thugs that had mugged Chihiro earlierâ-and there was only one of them advancing towards them. Chihiro wraps his fingers around Kyleâs sleeve slightly, gently pulling him away in another directionâ-
only to see another one advancing towards them. It seemed like there really was no way out of this situation. Chihiro began to tremble slightly, not letting go of Kyleâs sleeve the whole time.]
And, here we go... I nearly groaned in my thoughts after hearing one of the punks call out to Hiro and me. The kid let out a yelp and quickly latched her fingers to the sleeve of my suit, trying to pull me away from the guy several meters in front of us. 'Course, that didn't really do much good, considering another one of them appeared in front us when we turned around. We were surrounded behind and in front of us, so getting away without being noticed wasn't exactly possible... "'Figures these guys would pull some shit like this. Small-time... Nothing but small-time..." I muttered those words with irritation more than actual anger.
Judging by Hiro's lack of response to my words and the fact that she was clinging to my sleeve as if her life depended on it, it looked like she wasn't planning on running off like I had told her to. It was an inconvenience, but I guess I couldn't really blame the kid for being scared stiff. I had my crappy, kids' gun tucked in one of the pockets on the inside of my suit, but I knew that reaching for it wasn't a good idea. The punks didn't look like they were armed with guns, but pulling mine out still wasn't a smart plan. So, I started off the traditional way. I took a few steps backwards towards the front of a building, guiding Hiro with me. Once I gave a good look at both of the guys that stood to the left and right of us, I called, "Can't you see we're walking here? ...What, you punks think you're hot shit just because you teamed up on some kid? Gimme a break." By provoking them, I hoped to have the two thugs runs right at me, giving me a chance to send Hiro running across the street to safety and back to the station while I bought her some time. ...Was I really going through with something so stupid like this?
