An Local Guy

Life at the circus had been…an adjustment. The first few weeks were rough to say the least but with a lot of pampering from Pierrot, and Ticket Taker giving you an illusion of a choice by offering a rather impressive salary for your work around the circus you very reluctantly agreed to stay.

The work honestly wasn't too hard, mostly cleaning props and helping Ticket Taker accept tickets at the entrance of the circus. You were thankful for the slow nights where you could simply stand there and chat with him between customers because out of the entire cast he was seemingly the least…intense. 

One night while you were helping clean up Ticket Takers tent you were wiping the smudges from one of his mirrors as he happened to be passing through. Noticing you he offers a small wave, and you after a long day of work mindlessly pressed a kiss to the glass before you realized and clearly rather embarrassed wiped the smug from the glass and turned to leave.

“Now, now dear one it wouldn't be fair if I didn't even get a real one now would it?”, he gently held your wrist as he stepped through the mirror. You blushed softly before pressing a kiss to the side of his jaw, then another, and another…and before you knew it you had practically covered the entire left side of his face.

Ticket Taker let out a soft hum, running his fingers in your hair as you started on the right side. “Though you had little choice in the matter, I'm truly glad you chose to stay…”, he whispered before gently pressing his own chaste kiss to your temple. “Your presence here has warmed a part of my soul that has been long dormant-”

“Bil I need you for a moment.”

“Ah I'm needed elsewhere…”, he sounded rather disappointed as he pressed one more kiss to your forehead before leaving to attend his duties. Turning to look at you once more.

 “Keep up the good work dear one.”

Looking over to your balcony you can see Pierrot looking like a dog happy to see its owner after a long day. You still don't understand why he insists on coming in this way but at least now you've gotten him to at least knock instead of just letting himself in. Getting up from bed with a stretch you walk over to the balcony to let him in to which he instantly steps inside wrapping arms around you eager to just be near you, lifting you up with ease he brings you back to your bed sitting down with you in his lap.

“My Monarch~”, he whispered adoringly, kissing the pulse of your wrist. “How I've missed you…” he pressed his face into your neck inhaling deeply.

“Pierrot…You literally saw me this morning.”, you couldn't help but smile as he only pressed his face deeper, arms tightening around your waist before he rolled over bringing you with him to curl around you in bed. “Pierrot!”, you grinned, unable to hold back laughter as he peppered kisses over your neck and shoulder “My Monarch all time not spent by your side feels like an eternity.”

Your face warmed. “For someone who doesn't talk much you sure have a way with words.”, you turned to face him placing a kiss against the side of his jaw. “My Monarch is too kind…”, his pupils dilated as a blissed smile spread across his face. “If I may be so bold, may I ask for another?” 

You obliged kissing the first spot once again, then the opposite side of his jaw, then well you can't exactly remember the last spot you kissed since you lost yourself in peppering them across his entire face. By the time you pulled away Pierrot laid love drunk against your chest, his face bright red.

“T-thank you my Monarch…” he mumbled nuzzling into your chest.

Your smile softened as you laid back absent mindedly playing with the hair at the nape of his neck as you glanced to the balcony swearing you saw a flash of green…You brush it off simply allowing yourself to doze off with your oversized dog acting as your weighted blanket.
