Indie Mayastia, of Record of Agarest War series, no knowledge needed since its pretty bare bones series when I think about it.

mayastia only lost in his boss battle despite his game breaking ability to harness the fucking sun because he wasn’t angry enough. underestimating his enemy till the end until it was too late. 

Others fight to live

   They nod in understanding and sympathy. The ways that humans often didn’t take seriously the gods was devastating to bear witness to. It’s why Saima had been so adamant in their storytelling - to share the lore and ensure it’s survival. It wasn’t nearly as much as starting the world all over - but they couldn’t help but understand the temptation of such an idea.

“The loss and destruction of information that was once there..that only encourages such arrogant behavior. To the point where sometimes one wonders if they will try to self-destruct themselves in the process.“

A small sigh at the thought, they want to see better as they have seen better from time to time. It’s just unfortunately those who they see better in are never ones with necessary influence to actually act on it.

“Right, if people were able and willing to seek those truths that still remain but are ignored. Well, that would make a difference - but that would require them being trusted to that independently. And sometimes just having a drastic action to start again would be simpler.“

 “Unfortunately some gods are accepting enough to simply fade away without a fight. Pathetic.” some gods...had only the chance to kill those who hold them down, and yet they allow it. They allow their fading away from the world that birth them. Unlike others, he is a god who came from imaginary space, where concepts like humanity did not accept him. But he wanted to be worshipped. It was not because he  needed the belief for power. 

 “Here.” 

he tosses a piece of paper, rolled up at her. 

 “You , are one of few who listen to truth. This is the wifi password.” 

  Saima studied the giant form with a sense of all. They had seen many massive forms in their day but it was still fascinating to encounter the way one could take up space in such a commanding fashion. Not to mention the details of the temple and the contrast between the ruin and the glory of the light.

“Mercury, an honor to be in your presence and to still be in a world you helped made. Do you have crafts that you are particularly proud of having made?“

 “...No. Not this world, not this one.” this was one of many worlds, but he had chosen this one only, for the trapment it gave. A lack of faith... a lack of anything in regards to anything godly. He can be in peace and quiet in this world. 

 “I have given only weapons to humanity...for whatever they desire, it was of their own accord. I have no part with what mortals do.”
