man i really wish that when a cat dies in warriors, the authors really took time to accentuate the mourning that their clanmates experience. i mean, these cats do everything together, live in the same dens, have kin alike, and when a cat dies i feel like everybody’s shocked or sad for a little while and then moves on and goes back to normal the next day. i want to see cats visiting graves, cats taking time off, cats talking about their feelings emotionally and not just politically…doing something, anything to commemorate the life of the loved one they’ve lost, not just sitting vigil and then going on patrol like nothing happened the next day.

remember in tnp when shadowclan attacked  thunderclan and brambleclaw yelled at leafpool and told her it was her fault (because he thought that because leafpool had the audacity to inform littlecloud about his friend cinderpelt’s passing he might have passed that info along to russetfur, giving away thunderclan’s weakened state) only to later find out that it was hawkfrost who told shadowclan about the badgers, who learned it from brambleclaw during a tigerstar training sesh, and this doesn’t lead to any repercussions or internal development other than him lamenting “oh now i can’t apologize to leafpool because then she’ll no i did a bad thing :(”

You know another part of this is the fact that Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight were back together by this point. They’d already discussed the Hawkfrost situation, cleared the air, forgive and forget or whatever. And then this scene happens where Brambleclaw publicly accuses Leafpool of being disloyal and is berating her in front of the Clan and Squirrelflight jumps in to defend her sister and yell right back at him to lay off and then the scene ends and they don’t. Ever. Bring it up again? Brambleclaw did is a silly oopsy yelling at Leafpool in the middle of a clan meeting but that’s okay it happens
