She and Oakheart are t4t, and when he's pregnant he immediately offers for Bluefur to join Riverclan. A place where the laws are a little less strict. A place where she can be free of the pressure to be the best warrior, to sacrifice herself for the good of her clan. And it sounds so, so good. Almost too good to be true.

But...

She can't let Thistleclaw become deputy.

So Bluefur turns him down. Says she can't stay mates with him. That her path lies elsewhere. Oakheart returns home confused and heartbroken.

Sunstar names her deputy and Bluefur hopes she made the right choice. She works hard, trying her best to be the best deputy she can be. Her clan loves her. Thistleclaw dies alone, buried in a shallow grave.

Time passes. Bluefur and Rosetail grow closer, taking comfort in each other more and more until friendship boils over into something deeper. They become mates. And moons later Rosetail's belly grows round with three beautiful kits.

Meanwhile, in a place with no stars, Thistleclaw rages. His most bitter rival mates with his last surviving sister. No, this cannot be!

So, like Mapleshade once did, he curses the bloodline. Curses Redtail to die at the claws of his friend. Curses Spottedleaf to be slain alone, away from help. Curses Willowpet to slowly wither in grief.

Sick of his life on the streets, a young cat called Rusty boards a ship bound for faraway lands and gets a heck of a lot more than he bargained for.

My take on the Tabby she-cat with distinctive black markings seen in into the wild and the two kits that don’t match any of the descriptions of the kits we know.

In my rewrite I wanted there to be a few more characters for thunderclan pre-into the wild, so I saveed these guys from the void, I’ve decided on Cedarkit/shade for the black kit and Firkit for the gray and white kit.

For the queen her name depends upon the family I put her in, and her relationship with the two kits also changes depending on the family.

I’m thinking she’s either related to darkstripe in some way (sister or mother, in this case Pale- for a prefix and if his mother the two kits would be her siblings because I like that darkstripe is a single litter kit, maybe she’s willowpelts ex girlfriend and dark was an oops baby) or surrogate mother of Frostfur and Brindleface for stonepelt and weedwhisker (in this case Mink- for prefix.) or Sister of Leopardfoot and Patchpelt.
