Warrior Cripple

1. The Crippled Post is by, and for, all disabled leftists. We do not believe in meaninglessly attacking other leftists just because their dogma is slightly different from ours. We need to have a united front against the enemies we face, and we cannot insentiently attach each other about which flavor of leftism is the best when we haven’t even crossed the halfway point. We are ultimately on the same side, and we need to treat the people who disagree with us like you’d treat your friend. None of us here are here to hurt one and another. We are all here to uplift each other.

2. The Crippled Post is for solidarity between all disabled people, both physically and mentally. We are here for each other, we are here to talk and discuss with open minds between each other. This publication does not see mentally disabled people as lesser to the disabled narrative, nor does it see physically disabled as lesser to the disabled narrative. Our struggles are ultimately the same, and we must be working together for a better future then needlessly gatekeep.

3. The Crippled Post seeks to lift voices outside of the norm. Disabled people come in many different colors, genders, sexuality, and levels of abilities and to stick to the cishet white disabled narrative is detrimental to our publication. We cannot stand for disabled people while excluding our siblings out from the narrative completely. Our publication has to uplift the voices who are most notably fucked over by the white cishet abled political majority. We cannot stand up to white supremacy while also not supporting black, indigenous, disabled people of color’s voices.

4. The Crippled Post is anti-bigotry in all of it’s forms. We do not support terfs, swerfs, white nationalists, exclusionists, nor conservative politics. We cannot stand for all disabled people also letting transphobic disabled people to use our zine as a soap box to air their shitty ideology. We stand in solidarity with our trans siblings, our BIPOC siblings, and our sex worker siblings.

5. The Crippled Post does not pander to the abled or to the neurotypical. We are here for raw, brutal stories and opinion articles about the oppression we face daily. We are not here to sugar coat our language for general consumption. We are to talk candidly about what we need out of movement, theory, and community. We unanimously reject, and denounce, respectability politics in all of it’s forms.
