Raven Illusions

It was nice to know that, despite all their sibling rivalry and silly bickering, that her brothers truly had her back in all this, Madara particularly. It was no secret that Tsuna looked up to him and aspired to be as great as him, even though she won’t verbally admit it; she’s well aware that he is far greater than her. 

A reassured smile pulled across her lips as she watched him search for stones. He acted so casually about it, but she doubted that he was aware of just how much she appreciates it. Perhaps she could relax a little now, without the paranoia dancing across her mind. 

❝ You’re the best, you know? Always looking out for us, it wouldn’t surprise me if you became leader of the clan one day. I’ve heard rumours that the higher-ups have their eyes on you, Madara. ❞

By rumours, she actually meant overhearing Izuna once asking Father who the next clan head would be, and proceeding to ask if Madara would be capable. It seemed all of the siblings looked up to Madara and held him in high regard. However, Tsuna simply warped the truth around the whole rumour thing, in order to hopefully encourage her brother and give him a boost of confidence.

The comment caught him off-guard, just as his wrist flicked to send the stone splashing across the river his aim slipped. The stone skipped once, twice, a third pitiful time, and then fell into the icy water. For a moment the raven-haired boy was quiet in thought, facing away from his sister and looking off into the distance. Leader of the clan? That’s what he needed to be, right? He and Hashirama had to become something other than two daydreaming kids.

“Well, good! I’m already better than a bunch of the adults anyway. But I still have to get way stronger, or I won’t be able to protect anyone.”

A leader who could not protect was worthless in Madara’s eyes, and he knew despite the adults calling him a ‘prodigy’ that it only raised the bar on what they expected from him. Father wasn’t around often to teach, so the boy had to find his own ways to learn new jutsu and techniques, often squaring up against kids much older than himself.

Madara is canonically a sensor btw, I don’t know why a lot of people seem to forget about it, but he like Tobirama can just sort of tell people are around. Madara’s name is also on the list of Sensory Users:

AU where Hashirama and his siblings + Madara and his siblings get reincarnated and Konoha has to deal with their shit again.

More on this AU, they have almost the same look but not quite the same clans or features. Their temperaments are very similar and in this case they are not incarnations of Indra and Asura so they actually have a chance to be friends. Their little sibs don’t die.They might not have the same names but could (tho I doubt anyone would name their kid Madara after the war but maybe some dude was like: fuck it)
