WARCHILD

                                                here   she   stood,    chaos   surrounds.    she   barely   remembers   what   happened,   vicious   brutality   giving   birth   to   a   black   hole   in   her   mind.    did   i   do   this   ??    there   is   a   chill   in   the   air,    freeze   dried   corpses   staring   back   at   her.   glaring   evidence   of   her   power,   uncontrollable    and    undiscerning   in   its   choice   of   victim.   something   she   swore   she’d   never   use.    and   yet,    the   evidence   lies   around   her.   why   can’t   i   remember  ??   what   have   i   done   ??                          

           i.   i   have   always   maintained   a  more   serious   portrayal   of   donna,   but   this   new   blog   will   be   more   focused   on   the   darker   parts,   and   exploring   her   trauma   and   how   it   affects   her. 

           ii.   donna   is   still   a   goddess   in   my   characterization.   a   certain   aspect   of   her   powers   is   my   own   creation,   and   i   will   be   writing    about   that. 

           iii.   donna   is   a   living   sum   of   all   her   parts,   including   rebirth   and   new-52.   my   characterization   is  separate   from   those   timelines,   though   i   do   follow   the   events   of   current   rebirth   canon   (  i.e.   donna   finally   leading   the   titans   ).   she   also   contains    all   of   the   memories   of   being   a   fate,   being   troia,    and   being   the   dark   angel.   this   will   drive   a   lot  of   my   characterization. 

                                            i.   in    one   dream,   you   were   to   kill    diana.                                                     ii.   in   another,   you   were   to   kill    your   friends.                                                     iii.   in   the   last,    you   are   to   eat   the   world. 

                                                       but,   they’re   not   dreams,   are   they   ??   they’re   cracks.   a   girl,   existing   outside   of   the   multiverse.   they   are   lives,   draining   through   the    splits   in   your   consciousness.   i   was   put   back   together,   but   not   all   mends    are   whole. 

                                                       THIS    IS   NOT   A   DREAM.    this   is   real.   hands,   sword,    are   sticky.   dripping,   dripping.   gaze   trained   below,     mesmerized    by   endless   red.   not   a   dream.   not   evil.   you   saved   them   all,   didn’t   you   ??   this   was    a   heroic   blow.   and   yet,   it   feels   so   empty.   every   life,   no   matter   if   it   is   one   condemned   to   heaven   or   hell,   feels   like   a   step   closer   to   the   truth.   the   future.   fate   is   inescapable.  

                                                        COME   BACK   TO   REALITY. 

                                                       a   breath   in.   the   noise   of   the   ended   battle   returns.   eyes   avert   from   the   scene   below   her   sword,   towards   the   other.   there’s   comfort   in   the   sight   of   him.   don’t   let   him   know   how   you’re   breaking.
