* Sansa accuses Petyr with no proof of trying to poison his wife's son. He reminds everyone that Sansa was accused with no proof of poisoning her husband's nephew.

* Sansa accuses Petyr of seducing & then murdering Lysa. Petyr reminds everyone that Sansa told the Vale Council that Lysa called her a whore, tried to kill her, then committed suicide. "Did you tell the truth then and are lying now or did you lie then and are finally telling the truth? You're such a first rate liar it's hard to tell. Ask Mycah. You remember the butcher's boy, don't you, Sansa? The first casaulty in your game of thrones. Your direwolf Lady was the second casaulty since you always seem to get burned by your ambition and then blame others for your misfortune. You want to be Queen and won't let anything or anyone get in the way. It's all you've ever wanted. Returning home, reuniting with your family, nothing compares to that feeling when you're the one setting the pace and everyone has to fall in line behind you."

* Sansa accuses Petyr of trying to persuade her to kill Arya. Petyr tells everyone that Arya has a bag full of skinned off faces, proving she's a Faceless Assassin. Thus it makes sense to strike first in case she's not even the real Arya or Westerosi.

* Sansa accuses Petyr of trying to gain control of the Vale. Petyr tells everyone he offered for the Vale army to fight Ramsay's army but Sansa refused, didn't tell Jon about the offer, waited until the majority of those who were fighting in Jon's name might be too late to be saved then sent a letter to him to bring the Vale so she can claim victory.

* Sansa & Arya accuse Petyr of plotting against Ned Stark. Petyr tells everyone that Ned knew Cersei's children were bastards born through twincest and was going to give the Lannisters time to escape Westeros before telling King Robert which is treason then lied under oath proclaiming Joffrey as the new King in order to save Sansa, who only needed to be saved because she went behind her father's back to inform Cersei that he had gotten a ship to get both his daughters back to Winterfell. "I got you out of King's Landing. I saved your life."

* Sansa accuses Petyr of selling her to the Boltons. Petyr tells her that Robert beat & raped Cersei but that didn't mean she was sold to him. And that she too orchestrated her abuser's death via animals. He says Sansa willingly married Ramsay and not once did he threaten or force her to it. "You chose the Lannisters and then they abused you. You chose the Boltons and then they abused you. Your brother Robb fought the Lannisters and it cost him his life. Your brother Jon fought the Boltons and if I had been a day later with reinforcements he would've been a goner as well. Who will you choose next and how many thousands will die because of it?"

29. Probably it was the only moment in the whole s7 when the chemistry between them wasn’t only one-sided. These meaningful looks…I loved those long eye-contact scenes, it has a very important meaning…

I know Sansa has mentioned in the books the two sides that she sees of Petyr Baelish. Petyr, being the friend and the protector and Littlefinger being… well, Littlefinger. The sleazy guy she doesn’t trust. A part which she dislikes.

I think she is simplifying all that’s happened so she can understand better. There is no right or wrong nor black or white in the books. It’s all just all really gray. Therefore, my meta is that there is actually three sides that merge making it all sorts of complicated and gray. I don’t think Petyr really changes personality rather than having a really fucked up conflict in his own mind. We see Sansa’s POV, so the two sides thing is true to her anyways.

There is this one time Pod introduces him to Tyrion in ACoK.

“Who is inside my solar?” “Lord Littlefinger”. Podrick managed a quick look at his face, then hastly dropped his eyes. “I meant Lord Petyr. Lord Baelish. The master of coin”. “You make him sound a crowd.”

Which leads me to this:

In this short interview Martin says that Petyr HAS paternal feelings for Sansa (well partially), because she is the daughter that he never had with Cat but it’s kind of a fantasy that he can’t let go. He also mentions that she is a combination of both and that is why she has their traits. She has Cat’s beauty and Petyr’s wits. He doesn’t really see the Stark part of her, just the name. I would call this side Lord Baelish and Lord Protector of The Vale: the father and the mentor.

I think this part is really underplayed in the series and dismissed by some fans in the books cause they are actually pretending. But it will be his downfall. More than the other two, because Sansa is truly a Stark. He is always talking about her Tully side and forgetting the other.

Petyr side is the romantic and sexual side. Just a boy named Petyr. The one that helps her build a castle and can’t help to kiss her in the snow. The one that makes him bold as a fifteen year old. He has always being bold, and he continues to do so with quips and japes he always make in court, but not with actions as when he was younger. He has learned to play the game better. But this side is making him too emotional.

And, of course, he is Littlefinger. Everything that happened to him in his life changed him and he really enjoys this side. It’s ironic because people think of him as less, but that’s what makes him so powerful. Littlefinger is also the master of coin, the moneylender and whoremonger. We can’t forget any of that. He is done some awful shit. And all those things grant him that reputation. Sansa may not have been a powerfull piece on the game from the start because there were still Starks alive when he tought of kidnaping her, but now she is the key to the north and needs her for his plans.

Petyr gives Sansa gifts, but we really can’t tell which side gives them because they are merged into this complicated and multidimensional character. For example, the 12 ft lemon cake can be both Petyr’s or Lord Baelish’s gift. It’s really cute, but can be a romantic gesture or a fatherly one. The marriage to Harry the heir is from both Lord Baelish and Littlefinger. He is giving her two kingdoms. Winterfell and the Vale. He is granting a good future as a father would. But as Littlefinger he is also seeing that in the future, he’ll have all that as well as he wants to marry her and control trough her. Also, there is Petyr there kissing her while she is on his lap and he is telling all this. He can’t help it.

It starts off with rival pizza makers who argue over who has the best pizza and are driving the customers away

Then there’s this crazy old lady who yells at them from a window to quit it (because where else do you yell business advice from?)

So they work together and do some obvious flirting via pizza montage

And the old lady is all like “just kiss already”

Then they create a pizza together, combine restaurants and live happily ever after with the crazy window lady
