I just bougth this book Mi fuga hacia la libertad by Jhon Pinchao about how he scaped from FARC. Do you know anything about him?
Holy crap, my man Jhon Frank Pinchao!
This police officer has a story worthy of cinema: He fought and survived for over 36 hours against the onslaught of the FARCunts, after they launched the biggest offensive in the history of the Colombian Internal Conflict, the Mitu Siege, the first and only time they took control of the capital of a department.
He, along other 61 police officers, finally surrendered after running out of ammo, where he would spend the next 9 YEARS imprisoned deep inside the Colombian jungle, staying chained like an animal while enduring tropical diseases like yellow fever, malaria and Leishmaniasis.
But after the 8th year, tired of it all and knowing he would die, either from a disease, executed, or in the crossfire due to the increased offensives launched by the colombian government against all territory under FARCunts control, he began to plan his escape, something he achieved after a year, that involved a 17-days long trek trough unknown jungles and rivers, with no supplies whatsoever, and the only thing accompanying him being the same uniform he wore when he was captured.
In the 17th day, he made contact with an indigenous tribe, whom then took him to an army unit disposing of a coca field nearby, ending his narrowing adventure.
And this has a great epilogue too! Thanks to the information he supplied while in captivity, the colombian military was eventually able to launch Operación Jaque, the daring rescue of 15 hostages from the FARCunts, he was also reunited with his wife and the son he never knew, both welcoming him with open arms, the hope of his return never lost!
This man is a legend, I still remember when the country when crazy after the news broke he had escaped, one of the most beautiful moments of an otherwise, terrible war.

Iran-Iraq war, Iranian Chieftain MBT is hit while heading to the front lines, with the commander and either the gunner/loader immediately bailing out, while the driver kept the tank running and away from friendly forces.
Not shown, but the driver survived, albeit heavily burned, while the remaining crew member is never shown, so I assume he was lost.
Weird French hybrid tanks: AMX-13 with M24 Chaffee turret, and M24 Chaffee with AMX-13 turret.
Very interesting.
