“ you don’t have to ask me twice. ” parker said with a grin. a cute girl and a coffee? what more could she want out of life? “ after this, i want the deets on that whole situation. i mean, i have to know who my competition is, right? ”

regina had been watching a parent and child bickering. the latter looked like he was in a lot of trouble— - but gigi couldn’t exactly figure out why. her mind was occupied on the fact that some time in the future, she’d probably have to be the bad guy, like that mother was. that’s when regina saw the parent throw the thing she was lecturing about away. curiosity brought the blonde to the trash can, a juul and a mostly filled pack of pods laid in the trash can. although she knew she can’t anymore, and had already quit using hers…it would be very useful after the next six months. who could resit FREE pods? she put her new ‘prize’ in the big front pocket of her overall shorts before turning to see she was TOTALLY being watched. “uh— i wasn’t — i didn’t just…“ she sighed, “let’s not talk about this again?“

parker was about to ask if she needed help grabbing whatever the blonde was trying to get but it seemed as though she didn’t need it. “ are you sure? it looks like you’re giving it a chance for a new life. ” she teased with a sly smirk. honestly, parker had no room for judgment. she had done way worse for a good steal although technically the girl wasn’t stealing anything since it was thrown out. “ i won’t say anything. you have my word. -- what pods are they? i’m personally a fan of the cucumber and the mint ones. ”

Brows furrowed as Grace examined the person before her, her head cocking to the side as she tried to figure out what the hell it was that they were doing. “Is… erm, everything alright there?” She finally broke the silence, a blunt tone of voice as she spoke. “Do you need any help with… whatever it is that you’ve got going on there?”           

parker was so focused on the task at hand that she didn’t realize how ridiculous she looked. she glanced up from her current position on the warm cement, “ you could say that.” the brunette stood and dusted herself off, adding a chuckle whislt doing so. “ the shelter is taking food donations and i volunteered to deliver them over but i overestimated my strength. it started off great but after continuously carrying these heavy bags -- well, my arms and legs gave out.”

of course the coffee place luna worked at got extremely busy just as she was about to go on break. of course. there were barely any open spots left, but she noticed a friendly face in the crowd, so she decided this would be her best bet. “alright, here’s the deal — i’ll give you your next coffee for free if you let me sit here and have my break with you — please?”

parker couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the blonde. “ sit. i’ll pass on the coffee, although i do appreciate the offer. i’m not sure my body could handle all that caffeine on top of what i already had. ” she grabbed at all of her papers to make room for the other. she then nodded at the empty chair in front of her, “ the company could do me some good. i’ve been alone with my thoughts for too long. ” 

“Hey, do you want this IPhone 10?” Kaylin asked the nearest person as she scooted towards them, she had recently gotten a lot of sponsorship offers and the one she was currently sponsoring was Apple, so she had a bunch of Apple products lying around. She had already given a few of them to her mom and her siblings and she wasn’t sure what to do with the rest. “I already have way too many IPhones than I can handle and I don’t know who to give this to since my cousins could give zero fucks about anything Apple.”

“ as much as i want to shout ‘YES’, something is telling me to say no. ” parker said with hesitation clear on her face. who could blame her? someone giving out a new phone for free? that was definitely unheard of. “ of course i’ll accept it. -- i’m not an idiot but there are no strings attached, right? this would definitely be an upgrade from my older cracked one. ”

he was wearing a black turtleneck. a black turtleneck that the weather was distinctly too warm for. marley blue’d always had an attitude of carelessness about him, and apparently, he didn’t even care about the weather. or dehydration. or burning up in the sun. he tugged at the sleeves, liking the way his arms were covered, at least people weren’t staring at him because of that. which was an improvement, he’d say. a chuckle escaped his lips as he caught someone looking over in his direction ( had they even been looking at him ?? )

parker raised her hands in surrender, “ i wasn’t going to say anything. although now that you bring it up, i now have permission to ask, why are you wearing that? don’t get me wrong, that is a look but i could never wear that in this heat.” she looked up and held her arms out as if to showcase the warmth of the sun. looking him over once more, parker added a nod of approval. “ i appreciate the dedication. if i were you right now, you wouldn’t hear the end of my complaints.”

“ I feel like death. “ cleo groaned, hiding her head in her hands. “ I think I only slept a total of four hours all weekend, and then I decided to take three hours of dance class. why ?? I have no clue. “ she ranted. all cleo wanted was to just go home and sleep for hours, but she couldn’t. “ my legs feel like jelly. “ 

parker raised her eyebrow at the younger girl only to give her a reprimanding look. “ i doubt that was any good for you but i think you know that. perhaps you should take that as a sign to relax, those four hours are probably giving you a migraine by now. ”
