WHY ARENโT WE INTERACTING?
recently iโve noticed that the rpc seems to have trouble interacting with eachotherโand iโve seen a few of these memes go around, but i thought iโd make another!

Ooc: I feel so overwhelmed at work. It's damned if I do, damned if I don't. I could tear out my spine for them and it still won't be enough. I can give them my lifesblood and it still won't be good enough.

I haven't been handling work stress very well. My connections with my boss and team leadership have broken down and I wish I had just left for that research job when I was given the chance. Why didn't I?
I miss everyone and I am so sorry I have been so unfocused and inactive. I'm in survival mode. But I think that's everyone's state of living anymore. Surviving, just getting by, never thriving.

"Oh gosh--" The words escaped in a hushed whisper. She turned her head away from him, making no effort to push her long bangs from her face in hopes it would shield her rosy blush from his sharp eyes.
The woman easily recalled that night. She slipped into the garden tucked behind the mansion's weathered walls. Her agreeing to follow DIO still overwhelmed the drifter, especially since she first entered the massive building he called home. The garden's resemblance of a rainforest of her dreams often lured her in; it brought solace and cover from the suspicious eyes of DIO's other followers.
It was that quiet night when she leaned against one of the towering palm trees. Shikoba didn't hear his approach; he seemed to move as silently as a ghost. Her attention locked on the night sky, glowing eyes searching for comforting constellations, for figures told in ancestral stories now hidden in the stars.
When she finally caught the vampire's imposing presence she jumped two feet into the air with a startled yelp. She stumbled into a clumsy landing. Her claws gripped at the palm's thick trunk. She could feel her hair stand on end like a frightened cat!
A moment of shocked silence and wide staring passed before her mind jerked her into action.
'Stop lookin' at him like an idiot! Say somethin'!'
"I'm sorry, I..." The shapeshifter paused as she met his eyes. This time her stare wasn't one of fear. She had seen DIO's eyes before, it was one of the first things she noticed in that smoky bar. Yet now, they were haunting in a different way. His gaze held the color of golden honey, and glowed softly like the desert moon.
Her sight flickered over his face then. He...really was beautiful. Far out of her league! But temptation pulled at her thoughts still, coaxing her into doing the unthinkable.
Shikoba took a small step closer and froze. She was barely inches away from him, she could almost feel his chest graze her own. She could almost imagine his arms around her.
Her mind spun wildly and she ran her tongue across a thick fang in contemplation. What should she do? Should she hurry and back out now?
Instinct begged for her to retreat and give profuse awkward apologies. Yet, that didn't happen.
Before she could catch herself the woman stood on the tips of her toes and brushed her lips along his jawline. It was a quiet request, a hesitant invitation.
Shikoba expected him to flinch or shove her away but once she felt his lips press against her's, all anxious thoughts melted into feverish desire.
She kissed him that night, and since then she struggled with what it could mean. She didn't know the right words, even as he asked her about it.
"I thought...I thought it was a dream at first." Shikoba replied, her freckled cheeks burned even more at how cliche' that must have sounded. "It was like, finally touchin' the stars. Like feelin' the warmth of heavenly entities that are so far away." Her head tilted back to watch the dark sky. How many times did her heart ache to feel Heaven's silver light? She had thought such a thing would never happen to a cursed reject like her. Yet when she kissed DIO's lips...
"I never felt anythin' like it. It was soft, quiet, yet it sparked somethin' fierce in me."
Shikoba let the night's ambiance settle around them before she let curiosity get the better of her. "What did you think of it?"
