REBLOG if you're alright with interacting with someone who isn't interested in shipping or smut.
Not everyone in the rpc is a shipper or their muses are on the Aro/Ace spectrum ; I observe there are some muns (especialy eith female or female presenting muses) may feel intimidated by the idea that they need to engage in shipping to get interactions
Mikoto’s free hand reached out for Rain’s to tug him into her little cocoon house of several blankets to bring him inside the warmth. In her lap was little Leo, armed with one of his various animal stuffies and matching onesie. Once her husband was settled, she curled up against him.
“I think, with how long we’ve been together…I should tell you about my family.”
Now, she absolutely loved her family dearly, but actually talking about them - especially her parents - it was difficult. But Rain held no association to anyone aside from her sons who seem to have taken a liking to him.
Beaming was not accurate enough to describe the jubilation of seeing his wife and child in such a cute predicament. The fact that the onesie and stuffie were matching was just icing on the cake and he had to resist nuzzling the baby and giving plenty of daddy cheek kisses. However, it did turn a little serious when she made mention about her family.
While the knight never really pressed the issue, there were... some concerns. The fact she was effectively alone in her home, only really having her children from time to time. If they were still around... that would just make the family bigger right? That was also a good thing as Leo would have more people to dote on him and love his tiny adorable face.
Getting comfortable in his spot... he decided to pull Mikoto into his lap and wrap his arms around both the ninja and the baby. "Whenever you are ready."
Mikoto currently was hanging upside down on one of the lower but thick branches of a tree. The fruit of her labor from her lightning bow and arrow was evident on the targets opposite of the training grounds where she had hit every one, dead center.
“Hey.”
She turned her attention onto the knight when he crossed her vision, the unnatural crimson of her eyes bright and reflective as she stared at him. Focusing on him entirely. Miko didn’t move aside from dissolving her chosen weapon and gestured Rain towards her with her hand. When he was close enough, without another word, she kissed him. A deep, passionate kiss shared upside down, with the addition of tongue.
She didn’t part until she was entirely breathless.
It was a bit funny how she too had use of a bow of lightning... granted hers was chakra based and his own mana... plus she likely doesn't have to worry about Berserking. Though the mastery of it was impressive. So many shots fired and all of them hitting their mark. Before he could praise her, she had gestured for him to approach, which happened, and was soon 'captured' with a kiss.
Of course her husband would lean in and hold it as well, sharing the bit of affection until the both of them were breathless. Once parted, a small smile was given before a soft chuckle. He did not know what spurred the moment but... Skies did he enjoy it.

//Ty ty to the three of ya. While I try not to let those little voices get to me, it is very nice to see that y'all still like my writing. I certainly do enjoying writing with ya all as well ^ ^
Hands were now slowly reaching towards Rain, going for his ankles as his weapon was starting to dent. There was no damage on the wall he was battering... his own palms were starting to grow red as the panic was starting to weigh on him more. Isolation was one thing, but being physically accosted by his own failings, by the things that were haunting him... He knew what little strands of sanity left would snap and render the knight unable to act.
Then... the worst possible sound for him. -SNAP-
The top portion of his staff clattered to the ground besides him, head slowly turning towards the broken piece of metal while eyes began shaking. The only thing he could trust in this place, the only thing that brought comfort, was now broken. Breathing got heavier and heavier until both shoulders were grabbed. 'Hi Rain~' That voice... her voice... expression went a deep pale as eyes shut closed so tight. "It's not real... 'S not real... 'S not, 's not, s' not...." Repeating over and over as if chanting such would grant some form of protection.
Then, ankles were grabbed, waist gripped, arms slowly being forced down.
Was... was this the end? Is this how the knight meets his end? No battle, no old age, not even sacrificing himself for something greater? Just... a pitiful, miserable, horrid death in some backwoods cave to the nightmares of his past? It... it's not fair... it's not... But he can't fight back... and his last lifeline was now snapped in two... No one was coming for him, no one was going to save him, perhaps... perhaps... he could at least ruin this being's fun by accepting the end... One last act of defiance just to give some swallow comfort...
"DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP, RAIN!" That shout caused the knight's eyes to open wide before hearing what sounded like shattering. In the distance, there it was... the light he'd been praying would finally show up. A hand was outstretched, reaching for him. With whatever strength he had left within him, the broken staff was used to start helping pull him out of the grip of the things that had him. The owner of that voice... the one ally he had... it was Shima.
It would be unlikely that the half-dragon can maintain this for long. He had to fight if he wanted to make it towards his friend. Fight wild, like an animal, just... fight... Fight... "FIGHT IT RAIN!"
Inhaling and letting out a desperate shout to embolden himself, a step was taken. Hands were scratching, clawing at the ones on him, mouth was used to bite the ones on his shoulders, broken staff jabbed into the begins behind him. Don't look back, move forward. Grasp onto that bit of hope that Shima gave. Fight.
Then... he was freed... but only for seconds. Seconds that he would use to rush towards his friend, hand outstretched as well. A stumble, nearly tripping, the hole starting to close. His weapon falling from his hand. Then...
Grab.
Pull.
Freedom...
Shima had pulled Rain from that world, causing the knight to fall to the ground onto his knees. Looking around for a moment, lifting his hands up as if doubting this was true. Though the moment the half-dragon went around and put his hands on his shoulders... he knew it... he was free. Tears threatened to swell while he looked up at his friend, face twisting in a mix of emotions. The dragon knew the importance of keeping the knight sane... Rain was embraced. "It's alright... It's alright... You're safe now. C'mon..." In that moment, tears shed and the man held the other tight while still shaking. Shima could only imagine what kind of torture he went through considering Zephyr choose to freeze everything over dealing with something similar.
It would take a few minutes, but after Rain had calmed down, both would explain what happened on their ends.
The knowledge that everything had to be expiated due to complications... was rough on the still reeling knight. Even worse, his weapon was no long available to him, trapped within that dimension...
The options before the two were few... Wait for Shuron and try to arm themselves as best they could, just try and tackle things themselves, or risk looking for others who could help. "...If Levonive is frozen... and Shuron didn't get the brothers... then... it is very likely we are on our own." Looking back at the cave and frowning. "...We can not risk it, Shima. Once Shuron is back... we have to arm ourselves and charge in. Maybe... Maybe we get lucky and-" "We aren't..." A door appeared and from it, Shuron exited with a frown.
Before Rain could speak, the guildmaster went up to him and embraced the knight. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I didn't get you sooner..." "H... How did..." "I have my ways to keep tabs on things... We don't have a lot of time left before He has taken notice. So you two come with me. We can discuss everything once this threat is over." There was a nod given as soon as Shuron pulled away... however... "Shuron." The other male looked as Shima entered the door. "...I forgive you."
A pause before a slight smile as the knight stepped through and the guildmaster followed behind.
Mikoto was alone in the Earth Kingdom by herself. It had been rather difficult leaving the safety of the palace in the Fire Nation, but it had been time. She’d been told she was the Avatar, and she needed to learn the other three elements. Hence why she’s currently in the Kingdom.
She was in the market area. She hated being alone but at the same time, e joyed her freedom. It would be better with friends but.. she didn’t have any. She was inspecting some weapons at a stall, a bit too intently as she didn’t realize anyone was behind her. The staff she’d been holding nearly smacked someone in the head!
The princess noticed and turned around. “Oh! I-I’m sorry -“
”Spear techniques… that would be rather handy.” She mused in agreement as she rubbed her chin. “I think they’re as common as the sword is, so it would be best to be rather adequate in both of them.” A nod to herself. She didn’t notice anything between the two men. She smiled at the both of them. “I would appreciate that, thank you Shuron. My hand to hand is a bit lacking, I will admit. My training was more focused on bending first, then weapons, and combat was more so… an after thought.” Though she did have an interesting take on hand to hand. That she won’t showcase just yet.
She looked between the two of them and stood in the middle of the room to allow herself plenty of space. Then she began. At first a bit slow as she performed technique after technique, her body moving rather fluidly and gracefully. There was a mixture of both fire and lighting that lit up the room, and at some point towards the end of the showcase, she added water into the mix. It wasn’t as graceful as fire had been though, and she knew it.
finally, she stilled, back in the middle of the room. The water back into its jug she’d brought as an emergency.
Shuron and Rainald would both watch the display. Their expressions now serious and taking in what she had done to the fullest. Upon the end of her display, the earth bender would walk over to her and lean in. "Hmmm... You have good posture, an excellent stance, and from what I saw, wonderful mastery over Fire and Lightning. Your water is very poor, but that is to be expected, but seeing that you have one of the fundamentals... understood... it would make your journey to learn it easier." Leaning back and adjusting his glasses.
"That said... You are too loose with your movements, too flashy as well. Practice bending with smaller movements and try for bigger results. For example," With a quick shift and a stomp, a small box of earth sprouted up. A slide of his foot and it was lowered back into the ground of the dojo. "Some of the fire benders I have fought alongside were able to bring out great flames with smaller movements. Those who were not as skilled took risks and were often stopped mid-attack because their foes were quicker or knew how to pause those movements. A missed step, a wrong landing, even something as small as angling your foot the wrong way can reduce all your practice and training to nothing because the result shifted ever so slightly." Looking back to Rainald. "I'm sure he could tell too, a number of spots if he were fighting you, where he could disable or disarm you before pinning you to the floor." A pause.
"That said... we are not standard foes nor the standard in general. What you have right now exceeds the standard... If I were to liken it to something... You are like a clay structure in progress. There is much refined already and details that make you noteworthy, but there is still room left to grow and add more. From what I have seen, I wish to be the one who teaches you Earth Bending, or, to keep it to the analogy, I would like to help shape you into an even more splendid form. Will you accept me as your teacher?"

The princess noticed and turned around. “Oh! I-I’m sorry -“
Mikoto blinked up at Shuron. Ah, show him everything she knew? Her knowledge and techniques were extensive; she was a master at fire. It was her home element, of course, so she’d have the most time with it, the most influential. She even mastered lightning! Casting and redirecting it. She didn’t say that out loud of course, she wasn’t one to boast. She tries to remain humble.
It would be an interesting take to see how an earth bender would view her form. Tips and tricks always were welcome; she wanted to be the best she possibly could be, for any situation.
Miko was about to begin when Rain’s comment caught her off guard. She glanced over at him in confusion. “Show off more to you..? If I showcase my abilities right now, what else could I show you tonight?” She asked, rather innocently. Rain wasn’t a bender. Or did he mean weapon wise? Ah, that must be it! “Oh! You mean show off my weaponry skills, yes? As I’ve mentioned before, I am rather adept at the sword! Some spears, and I’ve even used fans before,” she told him with a hint of proudness in her voice.
Shuron was about to scold her... but the response threw him off. Blinking for a moment before covering his mouth and trying not to laugh as Rain couldn't help but let out a sigh before chuckling as well. Both of them had the same thought crossing their mind 'She's quite innocent'. Clearing his throat, the earth bender would try and regain control... before throwing a little bit of teasing as well. "Look, you two can talk about 'spear techniques' all you want AFTER your demonstrate your power."
That actually managed to make Rain blush a bit as he looks away while sitting in the chair. "Okay, Mikoto. Whenever you are ready, you can begin your bending. Do not worry about the building nor the two of us. This is all about just showing me what you know and seeing how much you will need to shift in order to start on Earth Bending." A pause while looking back at Rain. "If you would like... you can also use this place to spar with Rain as well and gain a better mastery over weapons as well as hand-to-hand combat. You never know when a day will come when you can't bend and your weapons are taken away from you, so this will be the best chance of keeping you safe. After all, while times are peaceful now, we may never know when we need the avatar to travel and put her life on the line."

The princess noticed and turned around. “Oh! I-I’m sorry -“
She blinked owlishly at Shuron. He repeated three twice? She hadn’t noticed it, she was more focused on the rules themselves. Mikoto remained sheepish. Her second failure and she hadn’t even realised it! This was not good for her track record at all…!
“No, I don’t have a place to stay. I only arrived last night,” the princess answered quietly. She looked at the clothing again. If she wore that, she would definitely blend in better, not that she minded standing out with her attire. She’s about to comment further when Rain lifted his shirt and - oh, she’s staring. Her face flushed completely and covered her mouth as she averted her eyes. He did look rather nice, and that image surely would be engrained in her mind. Thanks Rain.
With that she quickly took the offered clothing and hurried off to go change, and to get over her embarrassment. A few minutes later she came back in the student attire, patting herself down. She didn’t mind green or brown but kt didn’t suit her at all.
Shuron let out a small hum while Rain was recovering and watched Mikoto go off to change. With several rough and yet fluid motions, the wanderer was sent into a near-by chair via-earth bending. "Ah... Ya know, just cause it was the earth that moved me, it doesn't mean I wasn't manhandled by ya." "Oh I know. Just needed you out the way." Staring towards the room she walked into.
"So, the Avatar and the Princess of the Fire Nation. You bring some real dangerous people to my dojo, Rain." "Ooooh... ah... Yeah, I know. I should also be more impressed and surprised but..." "No no. We react the same. What your titles are do not determine your worth. We both know that..." There was a moment of silence between them before Mikoto returned. "Alright. First things first. I need you to show me how much bending, of any type, you know. While I cannot use Fire, I may surprise you with some knowledge and help you improve your form."
"Show off your stuff to Shuron, Miko! Then maybe ya can show off more to me, tonight~!" Shuron shot a glare to Rain before letting out another deep sigh. "I swear..."
