· · · · · · · · · · · · · · · ·bright blues focused on cleo as lottie turned around from sorting her oils to face the young brunette, feeling warmth fill her chest at the offhanded nickname. a frown slowly formed over pink lips as she quickly gave the room a once over. ❝ i don’t- ❞ pausing, her expression lit up briefly as she spotted a key sat under the massage table. ❝ never mind, i guess you did. ❞ a soft giggle floated from her mouth as she stepped over to swiftly pick up the silver key. ❝ guess it fell out of your bag when you placed it down. ❞ she smiled, holding out her hand to the other. ❝ almost feels a little like fate wanting to bring us back together, hm? ❞ she jested lightly, sending cleo a cheeky wink. ❝ unless… ❞ her delicate brows raised in mock scandalization, ❝ you left it here on purpose? ❞ with a soft click of her tongue, she took a smaller step closer to the brunette. ❝ i always knew there was something between us. ❞ always teasing. reaching a hand out, she gently tucked a smooth lock of hair behind cleo’s ear, ❝ you were actually my last client before the lunch break… do you maybe want to go grab a bite to eat with me? ❞

the votive had been attractive to jamie for a bunch of different reasons when lottie had first told him about it. sure, she had told him about it a while ago, but he had only really considered joining about eight months back when his last relationship ended because of his demanding job. it wasn’t like he didn’t like relationships. quite the opposite was the case. however, so far none of the women he had dated had been willing to put up with the demanding side of it all, unfortunately. and therefore, the votive seemed to be the perfect place for him. 

cleo and he had met a few times, each and every time unique. he enjoyed his time with her and this time was no different. taking a few steps towards her, he wrapped her arms around her middle as he grinned down at her, his hands momentarily resting on the small of her back. “are you free later to head over to my suite?” he asked, his palms now slowly sliding further downward, scanning her reaction to make sure she was alright with it. of course, if she were to show any sign of discomfort, he would immediately take a step back. “i promise i’ll make it worth your while.”

cleo looked up at jamie, her own hands resting on his waist. the slow movement of his hands sent chills down her spine. she could feel her heart beating a little faster, anticipating him to grab onto her. the brunette nodding her head, the corners of her lips upturning at the mention of her coming over to his room. “haven’t you always made it worth my while? because if my memory serves me right, i always leave your room with a smile on my face and this ache that only you can give me.” she easily slipped into the role of a lover escort, slightly tilting her head to the side to expose her neck. “i’m free for the rest of the day, jamie. if there was any chance that you’d want to bump up me coming over,” she rasped as she brought her hand up to caress his cheek. “i can definitely make that happen.”

         “ shit, don’t sneak up on me like that ! ” there hadn’t been anyone else at the pool for hours it seemed like which made sense, as it was late enough that the bar wasn’t serving anymore and most people had already gone back to their rooms for the night. it’d been peaceful on the pool deck, enough so that raja had fully relaxed and for someone else to pop up so suddenly had genuinely scared him. “ what are you even doing out here ? ” he asked as he sat up, not bothering to reach for his shirt or pants he’d discarded onto the chair next to him.

Logan noticed the pink tinge to her cheeks when she answered, and he raised an eyebrow – intrigued now. “Oh really?” he grinned, resting his chin on his fist, elbow leaning on the bar. “Me? Oh well, you know, I’m new in town and a big fan of camping, you see.” Tone light, playful – she seemed happy enough to play along. “Thought it might be nice to lay in there, look at the stars. What do you think? Wholesome enough?”

Cleo looked down at her drink, being just a little too aware of the tone in his voice. Looking up at him bashfully, she let out a chuckle. “Stargazing is pretty wholesome. But I’ve just never really thought to... y’know, use those tents like that? Because for me, if I’m with a male client... they’re already making a tent of their––” She stopped herself before she really embarrassed herself. “Would you like to go and look at the stars? Or grab something to eat? I don’t know, maybe satiate whatever wholesome... desire.” Whatever word she wanted to say would have just dug her hole even deeper. Need, want, fantasy. She let out a sigh and took a big drink from her glass.

TY took a sip of her own drink, smiling around the straw up at cleo when she got the other to laugh. “oh yeah,” she agreed, “sometimes you just gonna do a striptease and use your low sexy voice and, sploosh.” she giggled again, nose scrunching at the explanation. she patted the seat beside her with a nod, “of course. did they give you a good amount of time? sometimes i get cancelled like two minutes before, and it always drives me crazy.” 

“sploosh...” cleo repeated before letting out a hearty laugh. “i cannot believe that you just said that.” she sat down next to ty, shaking her head. “why do you think i’m all dolled up? getting ready takes so much of my time and effort that i don’t want it to go to waste.” she huffed, sagging into her seat. “honestly, i wish there more people who would give me at least a two hour notice. like is it so hard to just send a little text saying ‘hey, can’t make it today. rain check?’” 

“They’re good, right? I got a few sweets to hold me over. I had to have a sweets day on my day off. It’s only right.” She smiled, biting her lip as she sipped more of her drink. “I’m just glad to have a day off after the festival. How many new clients have you gotten?”

“Just a handful of new clients. Nothing too much but I’m not mad about the new additions. It just means I’m a little busier than usual with them wanting to book me as much as possible.” She hummed, drinking some more of her coffee. “I don’t necessarily mind the business. I just hope it’ll slow down soon.”

Cloud 9. An appropriate name –though not in the clouds, per se, theopen air environment coupled with the gentle ambience made for a pleasantexperience on the senses. Logan had quickly decided it was his favourite placein the hotel – though his suite was tailored to his desires, he had always much preferred being in the open versusbeing cooped up within four walls. Maybe it was from so many years overseas –four walls and a roof didn’t necessarily mean safety nor comfort.  

Satat the bar, a tumbler of single malt in front of him ( neat, never with ice ), he glanced at the person beside him with aslight smirk. “So, those tents…” he started, jerking his thumb towards the oneclosest to them. “You ever used one for wholesome activities like eating?”

Since spring has finally come to the city, Cleo had been meaning to spend more time at the dreamy bar. It was one of her favorite places to lounge around and have a drink with some friends. Cloud 9 was one of the first places she went to when she first stepped into Votive, absolutely in awe of different atmospheres that the resort managed to create. Her heels clicked against the flooring of the rooftop bar as she offered polite nods to some of the patrons that  she was familiar with. “A vodka tonic, please,” she grinned at the bartender, leaning against the bar. Cleo looked over to the male next to her, her eyebrows raising a bit at his rather handsome and sharp features. “I can’t say that I have.” Her cheeks feeling a bit warmer at her own answer. There have been multiple times where she’d sneak off to the tents to privately entertain her guest. “Although, I’m sure there are many people who do that, especially with how nice the weather is now.” The bartender placed her drink in front of her, offering her a knowing smile. “Have you ever used the tents for something wholesome?”

━━━━   FEET AND ANKLES WERE bathed in the cool waters that filled up the votive’s pool, and in that same instance, dale inhaled and exhaled a deep breath; his exposed torso not freckling over with goosebumps anymore due to the beautiful change of season in new york. it had been quite sometime since he was able to fully enjoy being outside —- winter’s harsh breath always forced him to stay in, but now, the springtime air welcomed him with a warm embrace, and needless to say, he couldn’t be happier. what was even better, though, is that he seemed to be one of the only people enjoying the hotel’s oasis; this privacy a bit unheard of within the resort’s walls. though, just as his loneliness was settling in, he turned his head and caught sight of another individual sauntering towards the lagoon of electric blue hues. offering a smile, he raised an arm and waved to them. “ good evening ! ” he cooed, hoping they would be okay with him speaking to them. “ how’re you doin’ tonight ? ”
