Barcelona, Spain! So we finally got out of Paris! The only ticket out was first class so we had to pay extra but it was a nice 5 hour ride to Pepergnan (or something like that) in the south of France. We had a connection to Barcelona that was canceled and we ended up waiting in he train station for 4 hours for the next train and I had to sit on the floor on that train but we got to Barcelona! Our first night we went and got tapas and sangria because I had to have them now that we were in Spain. The next day, we walked to Sagrada Familia (the huge, neat looking church) and the Parc GΓΌell (the mosaic stuff). We made friends at our hostel and had a great night out at some really nice club on the beach :) The next day we walked back to the beach and were hanging out for a little until a big storm was coming in. I wish we had a little but more time there to see the markets and wander more but we reserved seats on a train for once haha
Paris, Franceβ¨We arrives midday and went to all the sights we wanted to see and ended at the Eiffel Tower around dusk. We wanted to see the light show so we waited around freezing until the hour and it was well worth it! β¨We got stuck an extra night because we didnβt realize how full every train out of Paris would be. And we had to skip the coast of France :( **advice: book French trains way in advance!!!

Heidelberg, Germany! We walked around the Old Town and went to the castle. Such a cute town!
Visiting our friends we met in Peru last summer! Eberbach, Germany :)
Hi Carlin, it's great to see you're enjoying your Euro trip thus far. My students have seen your blog and would love to ask you a few questions. Please be so kind and whenever you find a minute get back to us. Thanks, be safe, and have a lot of fun! Question #1: What forms of transport will you use to travel between the destinations? Question #2: What place are you looking fwd to visit the most? Question #3: Which local cuisine are you looking the most fwd to try?
Hello! Is this a teacher I personally know or did you find my blog on the internet?I have a eurail pass, the select 4 countries pass. We have 8 days of travel in a 2 month period. Outside those 4 countries, we have taken busses and we have one flight from Spain to Ireland. It is very easy to get around in Europe. I was looking forward to Berlin the most and I have just left Berlin. I loved it there! Spain is the next place I'm looking forward to most, Barcelona and Madrid mostly. I love all food so I am excited to try everything. I can't pick one thing that I look forward to more than everything else.
East Side Gallery, Berlin
I love Berlin!!!! We spent 5 days in the city and made new friends and had a wonderful time. We went on a free walking tour and had a great tour guide. We went to Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island and the library where the book burnings happened. Berlin is so full of such recent history. The night life was so much fun. I loved going out and getting to hear about everyone's travels and their home lives. I'm glad we spent so much time here :)

London to brussels to cologne all in one day
We took an overnight bus from London to Brussels. Little did we know that meant getting no sleep on an 8 hour ride... They woke us up 2 hours into it as we reached the customs at the docks. We got our passports stamped in the freezing cold 2am air and then waited for loading time. I thought we'd stay on the bus on the ferry but we had to go to the lounge on the ferry where we slept for another hour and a half. Now back to the bus. 4 hours left to brussels at 4am. I couldn't stay asleep with the bumps and the turns. Once we got to Brussels, we were tired and hungry and grumpy and couldn't find a map or a human being anywhere. So we just started walking, angrily. We found a mcdonalds and looked up where we were and where to find the neat stuff. And then we were off to find Grand Place, grumpily. We found that and took a few photos and went to find any tourist info. The tourist info place sucked so we kept walking around. Eventually we decided to go to the only hostel we could find on a map. Once we got there they told us they and every other hostel in brussels was fully booked... It was a big pride weekend. Soooo we panicked a little and decided we'd head to cologne that evening. We booked our cologne and Berlin hostels, speed walked to the bus station to get a ticket to Cologne. So now were in Cologne and loving it!!
I love Cologne!!! This city is so beautiful. We went to the Dom and then to the chocolate museum and had lunch on the Rhine river :) Time to sit outside our hostel and drink some wine since EVERYONE walks around drinking all hours of the day!
