Was angry about the finale so I made a few little tweaks and it was quite therapeutic even though I’m still quite angry 😡

According to the screenshots I uploaded from my twitter Rob allegedly WAS NOT HAPPY with the GO3 ending and wrote Amazon a 27 page email containing his criticisms of said finale

Some fans recently met with him and apparently he will say more during this years ineffable con (which is as if typing this, a week away I believe.)

However we shall have to wait and see what he will say because the only thing that has been confirmed is that there are ndas in place

Ill share my suspicions now

My guess is that Rob didn’t have that much control despite being a producer I believe. And despite being Sir Terry’s Tom Shippey, he was left to the side since Neil was the main writer and the other writers were happy to follow his lead.

And possibly, like us, Rob wrongly trusted him

So when the allegations dropped, Amazon used that as an excuse to bail on good omens (they refused to give season two longer run times etc) it seems like that they never gave a damn about the property, its source material and its fanbase (their behavior with Rings of Power is the best example of this) and let’s be real, all they had to do was schedule a meeting and remove the deadweight predator in the writers room. (I also suspect that Amazon was prioritizing other upcoming shows to fund, including marketing, and I believe that the impending Rings of Power season 3 was one of these shows.)

And when Neil was kicked out, the only thing left on the table was to condense the six episodes into 97 minutes.

So instead of evaluating the script, talking to Rob, and maybe talking to Amazon to give them a little more time for a proper rewrite, they just went with the condensed script that ended up being what we got.

And Rachel Talalay had no control either despite being the director.

So basically, since Terry wasn’t there to keep Neil from being a tragedy whore, Neil got a big head and created an ending that tries to be the current trend that Hollywood has been chasing for decades now, multiverses, ambiguity (because apparently using it makes them feel like Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared, you won’t ever be as good at ambiguity as that show so please stop Hollywood), and an ending that also destroys Aziraphale and Crowley’s bond and the first two seasons most important themes,

Free will

True friendship that evolved into true love and never giving up despite the odds and despite the trauma…..

Amazon obviously didn’t care enough for quality

And Neil obviously would rather make Good Omens “his” version instead of maybe honoring and creating an ending that would make Sir Terry happy, an ending that would honor Aziraphale and Crowley’s character and that would give the fans something to celebrate instead of mourning and bickering.

Which is why I will be forever grateful that Rachel Talalay tried to give them one last kiss.

That’s just my theory

Perhaps Rob will provide more clarity at the Ineffable Con.

Based off of screenshots, Rob might not be able to say much because of said ndas.

If Aziraphale and Crowley are out there then we were denied seeing it

Or the originals truly are gone to make a multiverse where they don’t even exist

So either way that sucks

Third option:

The originals are out there BUT because of ambiguity, we might never get that confirmation that they are enjoying their life together as a married couple in their own version of South Downs…

Which still sucks btw

And this is the most likely scenario regarding the snow globe/ protecting the universe/ the ineffable theories whichever you wish to call it.
