Few hours from now 2015 is about to bid goodbye and as the year draws to an end it is customary for many of us to look back on how our respective lives took its course. As for me, going through such would be an ordeal knowing that I struggled to keep myself within the boundaries of my so called “reality”. I really don’t know what was going on my mind or what exactly I wanted to do. There were many instances that I found myself simply staring on a blank wall or saw myself surrounded by unfamiliar faces. I felt a stranger who was left wandering around. Yet there were moments on those instances that I would snap out and try to keep in touch with my inner self and raise queries why I am trapped in such a dilemma. As I entertain these thoughts I know that there is a need to end this vicious cycle of self defeating behavior. Rather than looking within, like blaming my hormones for instance or being overly critical on what I have become I guess there is now a need to channel my thoughts and emotions on the good that my outside world is offering. 2015 was not a perfect year for me but I know that I owe the year that was with numerous learnings and bountiful blessings that will keep me grateful and intact in the years ahead. To the year ahead - 2016 …..bring it on .

Being surrounded by children is one of the many blessings God had bestowed upon us. We ( the Yedras ) were too busy looking good for my nephew’s wedding and taking picture for that day - in turn we missed an important detail in this chapel. We totally ignored the painting in the left side of Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati. The said painting of St. Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata or the wounds of Christ happens to be by “the FERNANDO C. AMORSOLO”. In my twelve years of teaching, often times I would hear teachers and students get into crosshairs. Teachers complain about students' passivity and students complain on teachers' sternness. I for one, would always end up ranting on how uninvolved my students had become and how every time I conduct lectures the discourse on Philippine history would tend to end in an unstimulating manner. Sadly, in such instances I would find myself caught in that dilemma wherein my frustration button automatically switches on hence making teaching more taxing than it already is . But much of this rancour would disappear once I step inside the classroom and I must admit that being with the young continue to provide me the much needed spur to take the challenge of not simply creating an intellectual atmosphere but creating avenues that will lessen prejudices and expand awareness stretching to embrace a broader perspective. #RandomThoughtsDahilSaObligatoryGroupfie #EmbracingMyCalling #NagpapakaProfoundLangPo #EndingTheYearWithAPositiveThought
