But at the same time those guardians do provide said witches with all the tools they need for their own success as despite being given an difficult hand Feferi did develop a better bond & control with her lusus than HIC and thus the horrorterrors in general (as when HIC got a new one it would disobey her & kill any new trolls with its glub)

thanks to that Feferi was able to change the meaning of both dreams & death within paradox space and with the creation of the dream bubbles Feferi did realize her goal of changing culling as she contains the lost souls in bubbles safe away from the horrorterrors just like the cuttlefish she used to lock up but this time no lost souls can exit the bubbles which did came with the effect of making not only her stagnate & lose relevance but most of the ghosts in general as they cant grow as people (reflection of how beforus Feferi ran the place) with some exception like Porrim,

the only thing Grandpa taught Jade was to shoot rifles & do taxidermy everything else like gardening & machinery she founded & trained herself that grandpa left lying around (including the dreambot to aid her) thus showing her ingenuity which in turn is how Jade operated in her session due to her great understanding of space she was able to actively influence a lot of key events like the present or the password system,

however the greatest asset Grandpa has lend to Jade is Bec himself not only did he look after Jade when that negligent old fuck couldn’t be bothered to but when she godtiered she gained Bec’s space warping & FG abilities which vastly expanded amplified Jade’s space powers to absurd levels which culminated in her actions in cascade & doing the impossible of saving the planets as when Kanaya was offered a similar choice by echidna she couldn’t do it,

but to get that power Jade’s trial involved her having to accept & put Bec down for the greater good in order to grow as a person. Unfortunately for Damara she will never be allow to grow as a person by the people around her.
