Yuki Cross

“Where are you headed from here?”

“I have been squished under their feet before..” Shuddering at the memory she straightened. “Are you okay though? I’m sorry for all the fuss. Zero’s not here so I guess they took advantage of that today..”

Speaking of Zero.. where was he?

☾~ “You’re going to want to cook after guard duty? It’s going to be late…” he sighed, though he knew it was Friday evening. There was no class in the morning so it didn’t really matter how late the two stayed up tonight. It seemed as though he was out of excuses, at least he got a meal out of the deal, even if he was just a test subject.

“Wait.. did you tell me not to slack off? Zero!” She stuck her tongue out at him, not even needing to explain why his statement was backwards. Sure, she had her moments where she did let her work slide but at least she showed up. He was usually off wandering or sleeping in the stables when he needed to be guarding the school.

☾~ Glancing to the young brunette, Zero rolled his eyes. The exact reaction Yuki expected was given, he did not disappoint. If there was one thing he knew after living for years with Yuki and the headmaster it was to avoid any “new” recipes at all costs. The duo was fine with making things that already were established, but as soon as they decided to get creative or put their own ‘spin’ on it, Zero knew that meant disaster.

“I wanted to make you something to eat after guard duty tonight, I didn’t forget.” She didn’t know why he was the one lecturing her. He was always skipping out on his work but she said nothing. “I’m sure you’ll be hungry by then.”

Even now, this whole confession, it was seemingly out of regret and self-pity. Things had worked out for the best, he had her in his arms but all he was doing was talking about his past mistakes. Catching himself in the act, he resolved to let it go. What mattered now is that these two were fulfilling their intertwined destinies as passionate lovers, just as their late loved ones had wished for them.

When she opened her mouth to speak however she began tripping on her words, unsure of where to even begin or how to recover. Her mind was a foggy mess and she had no idea how to clear it, lost in each and every thought she had ever had about Zero.

Still determined to say something she finally managed to mutter a simple “I love you..” Still red-faced, the vampire looked upwards and once her gaze landed on Zero’s lips she leaned in to place a passionate kiss upon them. Reaching a hand up, she wove her fingers through his hair, deepening their embrace even though they were in the middle of a crowded ballroom. It was clear in that moment that she didn’t care who saw them. 

“I love you so much..”

Raising his hand slowly, he brushed a stray chocolate lock of hair from her face and tucked it behind her ear, enjoying the light shade of red she would change into when he administered such affections. While she was still giddy, his lips pressed against hers once more, remaining there for a few moments moving against her own. As he pulled away slowly, he pressed his forehead against hers and whispered, “I love you, Yuki. I’m sorry it took me so long to say it.”

“What brought that up..?” She quietly questioned as they continued their dance, moving slowly to the music that enveloped them. She wondered if he was caught in the past like her, the dance bringing up memories of a much more complicated time between the both of them. As much as she wanted to look to the future it was hard not to get trapped in thinking about the years before.

When I came back as Natalia I made the announcement that I was giving myself a clean slate and erasing my drafts. I will be doing the same for all blogs listed! I am fine with relationships carrying forward but to make it easier to get back into rp I need a fresh start! I don’t want to worry about playing catch up from months ago. Dropping threads is nothing personal, it’s just what I need to do to finally settle back into this amazing hobby of mine!

“You chose well, I can’t wait to get out and let you show off a bit. You’re going to make me the envy of all of vampire kind. The beautiful pureblood princess who chose an ex-human as her lover.” He winked playfully before he took her delicate hand and rose it to his lips, “ Well then, shall we go?”

The ball was already a bustling event by the time they arrived. Countless vampire couples had already taken to the dance floor, as well as a select number of humans. A handful of hunters lined the walls to ensure things went smoothly, one could never be too careful. All Zero could see, however, was how Yuki was glowing in the low light of the ball area.

Walking arm and arm with her through the doorway, he noticed each vampire in turn glance at her like clockwork. The ensemble she picked had achieved its desired outcome, she was turning heads left and right. A smirk lined Zero lips as he turned to face her, pulling her close to him and beginning to sway with her to the music. For good measure, a gentle kiss was placed on her lips as a demonstration for others to not get their hopes up.

“You should give yourself more credit, you’re good at this.” Yuki’s brown eyes glanced upwards, locking on his violet gaze. Her hands rested gently on his shoulders as they moved to the music, ignoring the gazes of those around them. There were no doubt murmurs and musings about the pair but Yuki wasn’t interested in listening to whispers about them at the moment. She wanted to enjoy the party as much as she could before she had to inevitably deal with how those around her felt about her relationship with the former human.

His eyes romantically traveled up and down her form as she turned to face him. Every inch of her was perfect, and now, it was his and he hers. He counted himself among the luckiest in the world. Once Yuki slipped into her dress and turned away from him, his hands began to work up her back. Rough, calloused hands were surprisingly delicate when lining up the laces so they lay perfectly on the woman’s smooth, pale back.

She smiled sweetly when he turned, not even having to ask for him to look away until she could finish getting ready. She hadn’t hidden the new gown from Zero’s gaze but he had never seen it on her and she still liked to surprise him from time to time with the outfits she had made. Quickly clasping a favored gem around her neck and situating the headband in her hair she gave herself one last glance over in the mirror before turning to face Zero, ready to show her final look before it would be time for them to leave for the ball.

“Alright, I’m all ready to go..” She smiled bashfully, waiting for him to turn to get his first look at her. The style of the dress was similar to things she had worn before but because of the status of the event it had been made to turn heads and she worried that he might find it a bit too over the top. It certainly wasn’t a dress she would wear around the house. 

☾~ “..Do we have to go to this thing, Yuki?” Zero groaned as he fixed his tie idly in the mirror. “Can’t we just go somewhere else where we can be alone? That sounds more fun… right?” he turned to her and smirked, placing a sultry nibble on her ear. He knew Yuki’s mind was made up, but he could at least try, right?

He understood why it was important to Yuki. Vampire Soirees were an important part of the vampire society, and it was also their first chance to attend one as a couple. It was a big step for Yuki as well, as Zero knew full well that many vampires wouldn’t approve of a pure-blood being with an ex-human such as himself. Letting out a deep sigh, he let it go. Chances are the hunter society would have asked him to keep an eye on the event anyways, may as well go in the company of his beautiful lover.

Since he was already dressed, he took it upon himself to grab Yuki’s dress from the wardrobe, hanging right next to them. He wrapped his arms around her from behind lovingly, and slid off her robe that she was wearing as she freshened up. Running his hands up and down her bare sides sweetly, he whispered in her ear, “Come on, let’s get you dressed. I suppose I can behave tonight for you.”

“I appreciate you doing this for me Zero, truly.” Yuki gave Zero a genuine smile before turning to face him, fingers outstretched to take the crimson dress from his hold, happy that he had decided to lend a helping hand in retrieving it for her. The flowing gown, embellished and ornate, had been made just for her so she was eager to finally have the chance to show it off. Despite not caring for material things she couldn’t deny that she was excited to enjoy a night of elegance with Zero, especially now that they were officially a couple. It would be nice to show off a little.

“I’m almost ready.. but will you help me with this?” Slipping into the gown was easy but she needed Zero’s help in lacing it up.

Dusk was just beginning to fall over the town as the young man settled himself upon one of the lush sofa’s of the Pure Blood’s home. Stowed away in his pouch, were documents for her to look over – the reason for him making the trip over in the first place. That, and he actually enjoyed her presence. Which, to this day, still surprised him given the rocky start they’d had. Leisurely, he drew the papers from the bag, placing them on the oak table in front of them while he waited for her to take a seat. ❛Let’s begin, shall we?❜ His usual, radiant smile accompanied the query.

Washing up a bit himself and getting into more of a romantic ensemble, he planned for a romantic night now that the baby was out of their hair for a bit. As he descended the spiral staircase, his ears twitched when he heard that voice. Immediately, his small smile dropped to a lower expression and he rolled his eyes. “Really? That’s my luck…” he mumbled to himself.

“Good timing Zero! Come join Aido and I!” Foolishly thinking that Zero would be just as happy to catch up with Aido as she was, she quickly made room on the couch for her mate.
