Although Genesis is my third body of work, I actually started recording the music for it in 2022. My plan, right from that time, was to first release my more folksy and bedroom pop type music, and then switch genres, and release this more electronic, goth-influenced music.

I initially finished recording Genesis in the summer of 2024. But I decided against uploading it in the state it was in, as I felt somewhat unsatisfied with it. It had only 10 songs, and many of them felt hastily thrown together.

Over the next 4 months, I put a lot of care into re-working whatever I didn't like until it was perfect, and ended up adding 3 additional songs ("Comfortable Calamity", "Rewind", and "Rinse and Repeat") that were originally meant for a later release, to make the album feel more complete.
