So if you’re new to posing or storytelling you may not know the basics so here we go!
First of all the one pro-tip I have is to turn autonomy off while posing. Nothing is worse than setting up a really good moment and having your sims move or their family come into the shot.
It’s really simple you just pick a spot, go into pose player and bam!
This is also pretty simple
1. Get your sims to do a friendly hug
2. Select the desired sims and pose, them the same goes for the second sim
“But why do we have to do the hug thing?”
The hugging is usually what confuses people. Hugging is something creators figured out a while back. The action of two sims hugging brings them closer than a normal conversation would. The distance they are at after a hug is what most pose makers use to create couples poses.
(as long as the pose creator ie. me, packaged it correctly and labeled everything it’s pretty easy)
So this may seem like a lot of info and pictures but as soon as you do it once, you’ll remember how to later I promise.This is what most pose makers recommend so unless stated otherwise I would try the “chair method” for three sim poses.
Because of the limitations of the game, creators had to problem solve and figure out a bootleg way to do this so bear with me
1. Go into build mode and find a preferably spacious area to pose
2. In build mode, place any 3 chairs exactly one block apart like the below picture
3. Sit your three sims in the order you want them to be posed if you have a preference (ie. I want Maria in the left side when I pose them so I’m going to seat her in the chair that’s to the left)
4. Now I know this seems strange but it works in almost every case. Go into build mode and delete each chair going left to right. You’ll notice the three sims will be moved to a different spot, this is good. This is also why you want enough space around them so they can be moved without interference. In the example I was making, I made the mistake of choosing a small room and this happened
It shouldn’t look like that. You want to be left with this after you delete the chairs. They should be in a staight line.
5. If the pose maker labeled the three poses as “left right and center” just pose each sim. If not, just pose them and if it looks off two of the sims just have to switch poses. Play with it and it’ll work.
The pose I’m using as demonstration is by @rinvalee they did a great job packaging the pose so it’s easy to use.
