Day 4

DAY 3

Day 3 of rest. Stripped out almost all interior except dash, windows, wiring (scared of this step), engine, and tranny. So next step is the engine/tranny and then on to welding in new sheet metal and frame. I do not think the sheet metal will be too much of a hassle, hard yes, but nothing that cannot be accomplished with effort and time. 

Bringing home the bus. I want to keep a video diary of the restoration experience, highs and lows included. Day 1-I drove to the WA/Canada border and brought back this 72 VW Bus to restore. Lots of rust means lots of welding. Plan to paint Chianti Red inside and out, rebuild motor and tranny, lower via drop spindles, and new rims (probably EMPI because they are cheaper).
