Still remember how we lose our shit when the chapter drop and Katsuki is the one who found him.

Silence stretches between them like a long shadow full of all their unspoken words. Katsuki wants nothing more than to snatch them out of the darkness and give them the acknowledgement they've refused to give. His body stays in locked. Every muscle coiled for the uncertainty that shrouds Izuku. His burning crimson eyes stay honed on the other, trying to fruitlessly pull information from the man's own guard.

"Lots of people ask question they ain't ready hear the answer to." Tilting his head with narrowing eyes, his profile is sharpened by the gentle moonlight spilling in. "If you expect silence, what's the point of fucking showing up." Eyes narrow in frustration before he expels another loud sigh.

"Honestly it doesn't like you're fucking ready for this conversation if that's an answer you're gunna accept." Finally he turns away, facing his desk once again. Looking down at the document he abandoned in favor of Izuku, he tries to read the text again.

Once Katsuki's words land, it's like a switch is flipped. Izuku clicks his tongue, disappointed with Katsuki's choice of the easy way. "Don't be a smartass."

It's one thing to take the opportunity and say nothing—and that's a possibility Izuku was prepared for all along, with that part of him that would always whisper into his ear when they were both younger—and it's another to try and flip his kindness on him.
