MOONLIGHT shines faintly on his sketchbook, the fabrics he’d glued on the paper staring back at him mockingly. soren can’t seem to make, sow, or draw anything tonight. he’s already spent the past half hour eyeing the bottle of pills on his bedside table, needing the boost for a brain that just won’t work like it used to. when the text bubble illuminates his face, soren almost lets out a sigh of relief at the necessary distraction. another minute and he might’ve caved in. the male is quick to shut off the lights, locking the annex house as he stepsinto the chilly night. without paying attention to the shouting that resonates throughout the garden from the main house, he confidently makes his way down the familiar road to veronica’s. his feet are only stopped by the soft carpet, and the view of a girl who loves to act like she’s been waiting too long. “ do you not know how to get dressed ? or how to open the door ?” he asks, teasingly though his features remain passive as he steps further into the room, body leaning into the bed frame. “ should i do it for you ? ”
“ HAHA HAHA HA ... ” her forced laughter was a clear indication that hisquip was actually quite the opposite of funny. “ you’d like that, wouldn’t you, ” she saysteasingly, snickering at her own joke. veronica then slips out of bed. her freshly pedicured feet meeting the hardwood floor as she wraps her silk robe around her frame. “ you and i both know i can dress myself very well , ” she boasts about her sense of fashion. though, his comment was valid considering her current attire were the pajamas she had been wearing for the last twenty-four hours. “ don’t you know ? ” cue pause for dramatic effect. “ people are saying chivalry is dead. opening doors should be yourjob. ” sarcasm was laced between her words with a smug smile on her face. she lightly pats his shoulder then strides past him, making her way into her closet ( assuming he’d follow. ) “ on a serious note, i want to have fun. anything interesting going on tonight or do you think we need to make it … interesting ? ” she draws out her last word, knowing their idea of fun was different from other’s.
