Men. You need to get you somebody that still makes you hard after you have jacked off the whole week. Someone you can be your best and truest self with. Someone that won’t make you feel less than because of your background. Someone that won’t shame you for your sexual desires. Who won’t push their beliefs on you, but instead embrace and accept your version of things so you can comfortably have a conversation about them without judgements. Stop LOOKING for your type or who you THINK you want and open yourself to the person you require. They will only show when you’re ready to receive them. Let being single be the time you take to learn more about yourself, connect with your roots, pick up a hobby, love yourself, discover your sexuality. Stop brooding over not having someone. You’re simply not ready, because if you were, the universe would have provided someone by now. Don’t tell the stars what to do. Trust, it never works out.

I’ve struggled with depression for years and there have been many days when I didn’t want to wake up. Black people, we need to look out for each other, check on the people around you and stop telling people to turn a church/mosque or going out…listen to them, don’t silence them. Check on a black man today. Check on a black woman today. Check on a black person in your life and see if they are okay.
