✧ Broken ribs suck. You don’t just “walk it off.” Breathing hurts. Laughing hurts. Existing hurts. Characters with rib injuries won’t be doing heroic sprints.

✧ Concussions aren’t instant naps. Dazed vision, nausea, dizziness, maybe even personality changes, but they’re not going to collapse neatly like in the movies.

✧ Blood loss is sneaky. It’s not just about dramatic pools of blood. It’s dizziness, confusion, and the body getting cold as circulation tanks.

✧ Adrenaline lies. Someone can take a serious injury and not feel it until the fight’s over. That “I didn’t realize I was bleeding until later” trope? Very real.

✧ Twisted ankles are brutal. One bad step and suddenly running is off the table. Even walking hurts like hell. Perfect way to ground a chase scene.

✧ Burns linger. Even small burns hurt more than most people expect. Blisters, infection risk, constant pain, it’s not just a cool scar later.

✧ Dislocated shoulders = useless arm. Characters can’t keep swinging a sword or firing a gun. They’re basically fighting one-armed until it’s fixed.

✧ Shock is a thing. Pale skin, trembling, rapid heartbeat, and eventually disorientation. A character might not even realize how bad their wound is.

✧ Stitches aren’t magic. Getting sewn up is painful and recovery takes time. They’re not instantly battle-ready after a needle and thread.

Depending on the severity of a concussion, recovery can often take weeks to months of constant vigilance and care, and you can spend almost that entire recovery time feeling sick and dizzy every time you stand up or go for a short walk. It’s usually not quick and easy.

A second knock to the head (however small!) soon after receiving a concussion is likely to trigger what’s called ‘Second Impact Syndrome’, which is mostly fatal. A character receiving Second Impact Syndrome will not walk away without permanent brain damage.

Within the later stages of recovery from a concussion, even just the tiniest knock to the head can put you back weeks of recovery time.

Though sleep immediately after a concussion should be monitored carefully, the myth that you shouldn’t sleep at all is wrong. Sleep is what actively fights concussions.

Sometimes, the symptoms of a concussion can take hours or days after the head bump to appear.

ok well theyre not like soul gems or something. eating/harming a gear wont harm the i,nph,rnal lmfao. theyre extensions of the demon and connected to their being still but its not 100% tangible as a physical object because they arent everpresent (but the energy to summon/"create" it is within the demon anyway so i guess that part of physics is not of issue)

its canon that summoning ones gear takes energy and thats also why those with bigger sized gears just keep them present rather than constantly unsummoning and resummoning it (citation needed, i just know this was said before and shuri was mentioned as just summoning his gear constantly since its small and easy to do so)

also another thing is (iirc) gears can get damaged and whatnot but be resummoned to be fixed i guess? its still questionable and confusing without further info (what counts as damage? you can still adjust/tweak gears after all and those changes stay. we need more citations about these facts...

he gets cornered and tries to talk his way out of the confrontation to no avail. he gets shoved around and kicked down. slapping and punching to knock the air out of his lungs. gets grabbed by the hair and his broken horns, a kick lands on his upper stomach so hard that he gags 🥺🥺

getting manhandled in the coldest cruelest ways just for the sake of more vulnerable spots opened for hits. he cant even struggle or talk, he keeps being interrupted with more hits and kicks, arms probably having been stomped on like crazy already. its so cute... he keeps gasping and his pained grunts turn into whimpers over time as he feels his muscles give out in exhaustion and pain
