Just a side note: I think Reiji would be gender conforming, so I tried to design him accordingly. Other brothers probably won't have an inherently feminine design.

The girlie in the picture is my OC Serpentina (Tina shortly) and the hands belong to her lover (their relationship is complicated)

I'm a big fan of Eldrich horror, so I wanted their relationship to contain some elements of it. Serpentine is the secondary main character in the story I want to write.

In the piece I wanted to showcase how Serpentina is getting torn between two deities. I didn't figure out how to call them yet, but one of them is an underwater god who strives to create a perfect body for itself, using it's creations sirens and the other one is nature spirit that possesses dead bodies of women, prolonging their memories life's in decaying bodies and turning them into nymphs.

I don't know how to call Tina's girlfriend yet, I want the name to be somewhat special.

I didn't play Genshin for 3 years now and yet the leaks about Dottore dying genuinely broke my heart.

He literally helped me to get through the roughest years of my life without kms, so the fact that he will be killed off feels rather personal. Generally speaking I feel like the idea of killing a social outcast who never was truly accepted and leaving a lobotomized version of him is very offensive.

I'm not justifying his actions, but the decision implies that broken people can only be likeable if they completely get rid of their trauma. In my opinion it's a very unhealthy message, because the past experiences are a part of you. It rewires your brain and changes the way you percieve this world - it can't simply be gotten rid off.

If I had a choice to get rid of my trauma I wouldn't, because it's the thing that shaped the way I am today and I'm the way I am because I actively choose to change, not just forget about it.

This is why I'm so spiteful about Dottores death. It's an awful way to end the arc of a character who was never loved. He was never loved and he died unloved, leaving only a copy of himself that doesn't have his experiences and memories. I'm sorry, but this is horrible writing. I'm not asking for Dottore redemption arc. Hell no, I love him the way he is. I would've preferred if the morality in Genshin wouldn't be so black and white and they would allow themselves to explore such topics as medicine ethics and how gods might be in the wrong.
